First off I'd like to say that Steve was fairly easy to deal with and presumably did his best to help me out in any way he could. The rest of the experience was extremely unpleasurable. As an out of state buyer on a bit of a time crunch I put a deposit on the vehicle after seeing it over facetime and reading the car fax which was encouraging. I flew out to drive the vehicle back and I even waited extra time to fly out upon Steve's request so they could run the truck through the shop. Upon arrival to the dealership visually everything was fine with the truck minus the fact that it was undetailed inside and out which isn't the end of the world, but it's a common decency to detail a vehicle you are selling. I purchased the vehicle and began my drive home that day. Shortly after leaving I realized they had also failed to fill the vehicle past a quarter tank which again is not a gigantic deal, but sort of just an expected decency. During my drive home the vehicle seemed to dip more heavily on the drivers side and I figured that maybe the drivers side coil spring was worn out and I would take as look at it when I got home. Two days after I had gotten home I was driving the truck to work and heard a loud bang and the entire drivers side front dropped about 2 inches. It was indeed the coil spring which had completely sheared off at the bottom. When I got the truck up on jacks and took the wheels off I saw that the front sway bar links on BOTH the driver and passengers sides had fallen off. This is what lead to the shock failing which was already probably in need of replacement. As someone who works on all my vehicles and comes from a family in the car business there is no possibility that both the front sway bar links failed just in the trip home and any competent shop tech would have seen that they were gone had the vehicle been put on a lift and inspected as I was assured it would be. The vehicle never should have left the lot with a non functioning sway bar as this is a safety issue and if this had happened on my trip home I would have been stuck and or the vehicle could have flipped. Driving this vehicle home from the dealership was a danger not only to my safety, but to everyone I drove by on my entire trip home. This comes down to either gross negligence by the shop techs or the vehicle never saw the inside of the shop. When I called my salesman to talk about the problem the only thing I was looking for was an answer as to why the vehicle was allowed to leave like that and to see if they would have the integrity to refund me the amount just for me to purchase new shocks and front links. I wasn't looking for labor costs only material costs. The salesman told me that he "didn't know what to say" as to why the shop techs could have missed this and was generally unhelpful. He then told me there was nothing he could do for me even after speaking to the owner of the dealership and told me that "the vehicle was cheap, old, and sold as is". Nowhere was it said that the vehicle was an "as is" sale and also just summing up a safety problem as "the vehicle is old and cheap" is one of the most unprofessional responses I've ever seen from a dealership. I also wouldn't consider $15k for first gen tundra to be cheap. I knew buying a vehicle of that age would mean there would be issues and I was prepared for that, however I wasn't prepared for the vehicle to come out of the shop unsafe with zero warning. I chose this dealership mainly because of the good reviews and yes I was in a time crunch, but I easily could have bought another vehicle from any dealership. This truck looked good, met my needs, and the dealership was extremely well rated. The fact remains they sold a vehicle with a non functioning front sway bar and a faulty shock which very easily could have caused excess body sway to the point that the vehicle could have flipped in an emergency situation. They were negligent and unhelpful and I wouldn't recommend buying a vehicle here to

I was extremely interested in purchasing a Nissan Altima that Perigo had on the lot. Jerry told me there would be no problem taking the car to my mechanic in Lafayette. In fact, he said, "We have nothing to hide." I arranged to take the car to the mechanic on Friday morning. When I called Jerry back at Perigo to let him know that my mechanic was available, he suddenly wanted a $100 non-refundable deposit to take the car to Lafayette to the mechanic. I do not understand the nonsense. No other dealer wants $100 for me to take a car to MY mechanic, who I PAY for any inspection. I am left believing that something was wrong with the car and that my top-knotch mechanic would have found the problem and told me not to buy the Altima. I'm glad there are other dealers around who have honest reputations and will let me take any car on their lots to my mechanic prior to making a purchase. Everyone should be able to do this. I got nothing but nonsense from Perigo once I expressed interest in the Altima, and I already had financing approved with a local Lafayette bank. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DEALER! By the way, I have impeccable credit and have never had any accident and MY insurance company, Erie, would cover driving that car to/from the mechanic. The only answer Jerry gave for the nonsense was that IF I took the car off their lot it would prevent other buyers from seeing the car. I'm certain they are flooded with people at 7:30 a.m. wanting to see their cars. The car was to be gone for under one hour. So....if anyone out there wants the Altima, it is still on Perigo's lot where it should remain because you won't be allowed to have a mechanic look at the car unless you plan to waste $100 of your money with Perigo and pay your mechanic too!

STAY AWAY! Avoid this place! There were many missing fuses that kept several warning lights from displaying in the test drive. We didn't discover this until after purchasing the vehicle. They would not take it back. We were naive but they are DISHONORABLE. We are having to resell for the actual value of this car, which is thousands less than we paid for it. May their karma find them swiftly. Also, I understand they have a second lot in Indy. I don't know the name but would stay away from there too.

The WORST. Sold us a car with a bad head gasket. They claimed they "fixed it". They also talked me into extended warranty and gap insurance. I thought I had done my due diligence. A few days ago the vehicle broke down and I took it somewhere else. Yup, it's the head gasket. We have only had the car 6 months and now have a car we still have to pay a loan on, plus a 5k-7k repair, which we cannot afford. We had the car there 2 weeks ago because it would not start. They claimed there "was nothing wrong with it". They knew damned well that car had a bad head gasket and they sold it to a young girl anyway. Biggest xxxxxxxx out there.

I was looking at a hummer h2 and I explained to the dealership I wqs traveling 400 miles to come get it. They went to great lengths to make sure I reviewed the vehicle from every angle. They took additional photos...they zoomed in on little corks if the car...they offered to shoot a video...they answered almost 100 questions. They are as honest as can be and invest a lot of time to earn your business. It turned out that I went with a different vehicle somewhere else (just in better shape) and they still thanked me for considering their vehicle. The experience was good and so were the people, the service, on the other hand, was terrible for the simple reason. I had my car inspected at the Dealership but the garage I bought the car from was not going to pay that price so I had to find another garage (Carlton Motors). The dealership said that my brake discs had issues and should be replaced were Carlton Motors said they are fine. Everything else was fixed and paid by the garage I have purchased the car from. Fast forward a week later I started hearing squeaky coming from the outside and I knew it must be the brakes. Called Carlton Motors and booked the car in again and this time they said that it is because of the brake discs but it should pass. This was almost over 3 months ago. Now I have to pay for them because the garage won't pay for something that I might've messed up even though Carlton Motors should've replaced them instead of assuming they are ok.

Update: Dealer did send us a check for the repair. Thank you. They are under new management. Changed from 1 star to 3. Buyer Beware. Dealership does not follow through on obligations. I purchased a Toyota Tacoma online from Carmel Motors and the dealer shipped the vehicle as part of the purchase price. The vehicle arrived unannounced with a dead battery and a smashed windshield. While the dealer did purchase a new battery for us through AutoZone, the windshield replacement has been a different story. The delivery driver did not speak English very well and claimed the windshield was smashed by individuals "molesting" him at a rest stop. He offered cash to my wife for the windshield. While apologetic to what happened, he was clearly trying to complete the delivery and go quickly. Uncomfortable with the situation, my wife accepted an amount that was half of the replacement cost of the windshield. The dealership at first appeared to want to work with me on a resolution by getting the shipper to pay the difference, but stopped pursuing a resolution with them and stated they were filing a claim with their own insurance co. That was 6-Sept 2023. Weekly requests for information have gone unreturned. They appear to be ghosting me. I felt my only recourse was to share my experience with this dealer so others could potentially avoid a bad experience themselves.
