Milestone marked with gifts for reviewer and dealership. Growing number of reviews evidence that more and more customers are relying on third party review Websites to research dealerships.
DealerRater.com Celebrates 100,000th Review Posted
“We officially hit our 100,000th review on Monday, November 30th,” reports Chip Grueter, president of DealerRater.com. “We are thrilled to reach this exciting milestone and it speaks to the strength of participation in our community. It was a happy coincidence that the review that put us over the top was a positive review for one of our Certified Dealers, Bourne Auto Center.”
DealerRater shared the milestone celebration by providing gifts to both the DealerRater reviewer as well as the dealership that was the recipient of the 100,000th review.
David of East Falmouth, Massachusetts was the DealerRater community member who wrote this review. He was directed to the Web site by the service associate at Bourne Auto Center in South Easton, Massachusetts after he purchased his car from this dealer and had returned for his first service call. David found the DealerRater site “very intuitive and easy to use.” He was very happy to be part of the celebration.
Michael Kelley, General Manager of Bourne Auto Center explains, “We have a new partnership with DealerRater and can already see how the Certified Dealer Program allows us to keep a pulse on how satisfied our customers are with their experience here at Bourne Auto Center.”
On November 12, 2009, DealerRater.com entered its eighth year of business. Dealer reviews posted on the site increased 36.5% over last in the same time period. Registered users have also increased by 20%.
As to why the site has experienced significant increases in both reviews and register users over the past year, Grueter sites that, “Customers are now logging onto third party review Web sites, like DealerRater.com, to publicly share their experience or to research prospective dealerships. In the past, customers have relied on friends and family to share information about dealerships. Increasingly customers are exploring new vehicle brands and new geographic areas outside of their referral zone. DealerRater.com provides trustworthy information to fill these gaps and give customers more confidence when they walk into a dealership for a sale or service transaction.”
