My first interaction with Suntrup was on-line. They immediately sent me a reply about the vehicle and I believe it was on a Sunday. (I was impressed by that.!) Her name was Veronica and she did an excellent job with the communication between myself and the dealership. When I arrive to the dealership my sales person Kainoa Payton was so kind, patient and helpful. I was running behind due to rush-hour and work but when I arrived the finance department and my sales person was very patient with me. I arrived at 5pm and they closed at 6pm. They wasn’t rushing me and I was able to drive my vehicle in peace. Everything checked out fine and I am so glad that I was able to find this vehicle at Suntrup. This is the first dealership that I came across and they have a program with the transmission and the engine stay under a warranty for the life time you have the vehicle. I really wish that I have came across this dealership much sooner. KB More

Everything was great up until it was time to pay our down payment, which was a significant amount! No one told us that we could not put the down payment of half the cars price, on our debit card! He wanted us to go back home and get a check. No, we live 30 minutes away. Plus, we do not have checks for that account. Then wanted to do a wire transfer, then suggested going to the bank the next day for a cashiers check. He stated, they did not want to take a debit card, because they get charged 5%. That’s not my problem. If the rules of Suntrup Volkswagen are that you can’t pay with a debit card, then you should inform the buyer of this before hand!!!! Especially when they told you they would be putting half down on a brand new Jetta. Do not waste my time trying to make me feel bad for you getting charged a fee for us using a form of payment. Then the finance guy had to question with an attitude, if we can even withdraw that amount on our debit! YES, we can. In fact, just last year when we purchased our 24 Jetta from Bommarito Volkswagen they never once questioned it! we put the same amount down then! So here is my suggestion, when someone tells Suntrup they will be putting a large sum of money down on a car, tell them the forms of payment that you will take beforehand! More

KAINOA(Client Advisor/Sales Rep), Beau(Manager) and AJ (Finance Manager) really were all so amazing. I had an appointment with Kainoa and was immediately attentive and had my car interest pulled up ready (Finance Manager) really were all so amazing. I had an appointment with Kainoa and was immediately attentive and had my car interest pulled up ready for me to test drive it. He was knowledgeable about the car, its features and throughly explained differences in car model options. I was a little nervous going through the process of purchasing but Kainoa often encouraged me through it and did his best to work with the manager Beau to fit within my budget. Beau was kind and did what he could to work through details of the paperwork. Once it was sent to the financial manager AJ their consistent effort to help flowed. AJ really worked through details and explained what needed to get the appropriate payment amount. I am so grateful to the Suntrup Volkswagen team for bringing relief & peace to a stressful situation. I highly recommend Kainoa for your car needs! More

My wife and I had been car shopping all day. Suntrup was going to be the final stop of the day before we made a decision. I was blown away with Kainoas amazing customer friendly salesmanship. We test drove 3 different vehicles and he made sure we knew everything we needed to know about each one. The rest of the team was very friendly and made the experience fun. If 0 stars could be given I would. The car buying process was okay - per se, however, that sales person is no longer working for the dealership. The real issues came when they gave us The car buying process was okay - per se, however, that sales person is no longer working for the dealership. The real issues came when they gave us the wrong title paperwork and information for a car we did NOT purchase. They recognized their mistake partially when I was called back to their office a week later for updated paperwork - but no updated title paperwork and we had already registered our vehicle and purchased plates. So 2 years later we are thinking about trading in the vehicle and we notice we do not have a title. I was also made aware that my plates were expired but I had received no paperwork from the DMV reminding of the need to renew. This was because they were not appropriately registered!!!!!! I brought it to the dealerships attention and was initially presented with meeting with AJ in finance. He completely disregarded our need for attention to this important issue and was too focused on his sale he was in the middle of and waiting on something - essentially telling us we would need to leave when he received whatever it was he was waiting on for the sale. He took the paperwork and said he would work on it and sent us on our way. At the beginning of April we got new paperwork together and signed to be sent off to the Department of Motor Vehicles. I heard back on May 27th that my title had arrived and we made plans for them to deliver my title that day to my house. I did not receive it and inquired a couple days later to which I was told that they actually had not received it. It was now June 17th and I contacted the DMV inquiring about my title to which I was told that the DMV mailed it on the 16th of May and Suntrup should have it by now. I messaged them inquiring about my title and was ignored. The next morning at 7am UPS rings my doorbell delivering my title. I continue to be ignored about plates and any compensation for this nightmare. I would have never purchased from here if I knew what a nightmare situation this would be. Oh, and don't even try to talk to anyone else at the dealership because they do not communicate and can't give you any answers if the main contact is not present. An absolute nightmare. I was going to trade my vehicle 6 months ago, but now, the miles and wear and tear are going to be too much thanks to this mishap from this dealership. If you look at the reviews carefully, you will see I am not the only person with a title issue!! Beware! More
