Nice Car But Terrible Buying Experience. I went to Decormier Nissan on Labor Day to buy a new 2015 Versa. Given the price and what I was prepared to put down, they told me the monthly paymen I went to Decormier Nissan on Labor Day to buy a new 2015 Versa. Given the price and what I was prepared to put down, they told me the monthly payment on loan would be $188. But then they proposed a 2014 Sentra which they could offer for the same $188 per month because they could provide a longer loan period and 0% financing. So I agreed at the $188 provided I could get the 2014 Sentra in blue. They told me I could get a blue Sentra, but the cost would be a little over a $200 a month and I would have to wait for delivery because a blue one was not on the dealer lot. I told them I would take the blue 2014 Sentra if I could pay the same $188 a month. They then played with the numbers and came up with $189 a month and I agreed. While waiting for delivery I noticed the deal-maker, the $189 a month payment, was suspiciously missing from the paperwork I had walked out with. So I left a voice mail with Calvin asking verification of the $189 per month payment. When he called back, I let the call go into voicemail so that I had a recording of his voice verifying $189 per month payment. On September 4, the day when I was to pick up vehicle, because the blue Sentra finally arrived, I went to the dealership before I went to my bank for a bank check, to verify (1) the blue color and (2) the $189 monthly payment. Only after I saw the blue car and verified the $189 monthly payment did I go to my bank to get a bank check. When I returned to dealership with the bank check, Calvin took my registration plates off my old vehicle and had them put on new vehilce. At that point Calvin told me the monthly payment would be over $200 a month because they had forgotten about some special fees when the a $189 was calculated. I was livid and made a scene, stating loudly for all to hear that I wanted my plates put back on my vehicle because the deal is off (I was even prepared to lose my $500 DEPOSIT, because I felt so cheated and violated). At that point Bruce the manager played with the numbers (upping trade-in, etc.) so that the monthly payment became $188. Then I agreed to buy the car, but was so thoroughly aggravated that the car buying experience was ruined for me. When Calvin went over the new car features, I could not even concentrate on what he was saying, due to the elevated adrenaline levels in my bloodstream. It is going to be difficult for me to love this new car, the way I loved the previous 2 Nissan vehicles I bought at this dealership. When I look at this bright blue Sentra I am reminded of my bad purchase experience. I wonder if I really wanted a 2015 Versa, but got talked into a 2014 Sentra. I am paying the same $188 a month, but have to pay this amount over more years. More

Overall a Great Experience We bought two cars here in 14 days! Overall the first experience was pleasant and painless, which is why we went back the second time. Sales person Ca We bought two cars here in 14 days! Overall the first experience was pleasant and painless, which is why we went back the second time. Sales person Calvin was the greatest...would highly recommend him to anyone! Definitely a no stress salesman. DeCormier has the best finance guy around....Sammy will take care of you and get you the best deal he can. He works hard and it shows....they are lucky to have him. Matt DeCormier is welcoming and friendly, willing to make his customers happy and have a good experience there. Joe DeCormier is a great guy and is happy when his customers are happy as any good business man should be. The only downfall of the operation was Tommy DiCicco. The man is defensive, insulting, and truly reprehensible. He doesn't represent DeCormier well at all. If you can avoid him, you will have the best car experience around. Look up Calvin for your next purchase! More

So my experience at DeCormier started out okay. I stopped in before Christmas to look around, but when the salesman, Calvin, and I were unable to make a deal due to my trade-in, I "promised" him that I would in before Christmas to look around, but when the salesman, Calvin, and I were unable to make a deal due to my trade-in, I "promised" him that I would return after I sold that vehicle. Even though I told him then, and again via email and voice mail that I would be back once I had sold that vehicle, he continued to call every 2-3 weeks or so "just to check in". Anyway, I finally came up with another option for selling that vehicle so I decided to go to Calvin and see if we could work a deal because I had "promised" him that I would return. I went in on a Wednesday to look at a used 2013 Altima. After an hour or two of negotiation with Calvin, we came up with a monthly payment (after trade-in, etc.) for 60 months that I agreed to with him by a handshake. I came back the next day to sign all of the paperwork and allow them to clean the car up (that, they did a good job on). When I got there, Calvin sat me down and asked if I was interested in an extended warranty. When he quoted me a price (for a 60 month warranty) of $29/month more than the payment we had agreed to, I said "no thanks, too much". Of course I got the big song and dance from Calvin, but I stuck with my "no thanks, too much". So then I was brought in to sit down with Eric, one of the Finance Managers. When I sat down I realized that I had forgotten my reading glasses... yes, big mistake! especially when you're putting your name on a bunch of contractual documentation, but, I was straight forward with Eric and told him that I had forgotten my glasses but I trusted he would not steer me wrong... to which he responded the old, yes of course, you can trust that I won't steer you wrong. So then Eric asks, "are you sure that you don't want the warranty"? I "say no thanks, too much". He then says, what if I could get you the warranty, making your monthly payments xxx.xx (and quotes me a new monthly price that is $12/month more) would you get the warranty??? and then he says, plus, I got you 1.99% instead of the 2.49% as we previously agreed to, making your monthly payment xxx.xx (which was only $10/month more than my originally quoted monthly payment). "Wow, great!", I say and think to myself, "this guy Eric, he's pretty awesome, he's getting me the warranty for only $10/month more, plus, he got me 1.99% interest"!!! So I "blindly" (remember I'm not wearing my reading glasses), sign all of the paperwork... at absolutely no point did Eric ever mention extending the loan's term length! Yes, that's right, the next day I was reading over the contract (that I blindly signed) and it was for 63 months, not 60 months. Now, I know that it was my own stupidity, signing something that I couldn't read, but I trusted Eric and feel that he should have been quite a bit more detailed in his explanation of the loan, again, I never heard him say, "well, if you extend the loan to 63 months, then your monthly payment will be xxx.xx. "Fool me once, blah, blah, blah"... Deceitful is the only word I have for Decormier Nissan! As I walked out of the dealership I told Calvin that I would be back... this time I am not keeping my "promise"! I will also post on Facebook, fill out ever bad review I can and tell everyone I know my story in an effort to gain even a little bit of retribution... More

I have never, ever in my life had such a nice time buying a car. I told my wife on the way, "oh no, I hate this part, it is always get your information, then make you sit down, give you a runaround, etc" - w a car. I told my wife on the way, "oh no, I hate this part, it is always get your information, then make you sit down, give you a runaround, etc" - we all know the drill. We walked in and were directed to Calvin. He is such a nice person, and was so pleasant to work with !! He took us to exactly the car we were looking for (Rogue), let us drive it, answered all our questions, and did not pressure us in any way. When it was time for us to leave, he simply let us go, and said he hoped to hear from us soon. I then expected the next usual - calls every other day asking me if buying me a six pack and giving me $200 to buy it today would help get me in there tonight !! But - NO !! No pressure, no annoyances, I was so happy I couldn't believe it. We wanted the 2014 Rogue, and I stopped by to place the order, and there one was sitting on the showroom floor ! We told Calvin we wanted to buy it. And we did ! We got home and decided we wanted leather. Nissan was so nice when we went back, trying to help us understand the options we had available, purchasing the next model up. In the end, we decided we would use their recommended upholsterer to add after-market leather, because the model we got has the third row of seats, and we wanted to keep those. Honestly I have never felt more helped, less bothered, and had all around very simple and wonderful car shopping experience. I would go back to Decormier again and again, and when it is time to trade in the Xterra, that will be the first stop. I can't say it enough, I have always, every single time, had a horrible car shopping experience, this was so refreshing to enjoy car shopping for the first time in my life. Thank you Decormier !! I was warmly greeted by Calvin. He was very thorough in explaining the features of the new Altima. I did my homework ahead of time, and he got me a fair price on my new car and a good value for my trade-i explaining the features of the new Altima. I did my homework ahead of time, and he got me a fair price on my new car and a good value for my trade-in. My financing was arranged at the dealership, and they managed to match the low rate that I had previously arranged through my credit union, along with an additional $500 rebate. I had been putting off buying a new car for a long time, but these guys made it a great experience. I highly recommend them. More
