I was born in Thailand and moved to the U.S. in 1996. I attended Lafayette High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I used to be a Karate instructor until I joined the U.S. Army. I have a beautiful wife and 3 amazing little boys. I have been with Hampton Toyota for over 9 years now and enjoy what I do. Let's state the obvious, you've spent many hours researching and have a good idea of what you want before walking into a dealership. You already expect to be treated unfairly and in this industry there's decades of less-than-honest reputation for me to overcome. The best part of my job is changing the public's perspective of what a "salesman" is and their past experiences purchasing a vehicle. bought a used Kia from Chia I searched vehicles and prices on the internet and called Hampton to ask a few questions about the vehicle I bought. I was dispatched to salesman Chai I searched vehicles and prices on the internet and called Hampton to ask a few questions about the vehicle I bought. I was dispatched to salesman Chai Phumsorn. He answered my questions over the phone and I set up a time for me and my wife to see and test drive the car the next day. When we got there, Chai had the car waiting in the front for us to drive and answered all our questions. Dealing with the whole staff at Hampton was a pleasurable experience and would recommend them to friends and family. More

Hampton made us a very happy couple. After having an oil change at Hampton Toyota on our 2006 Sienna van, we were told it needed work to fix other things that we didn't even know was wron After having an oil change at Hampton Toyota on our 2006 Sienna van, we were told it needed work to fix other things that we didn't even know was wrong with the van. We thought about the age of the van and we started thinking about buying a new van. We called the dealership to ask questions about a new van and we spoke to Mr. Chai Phumsorn. He promised us to get the kind of van and the color van that we wanted. Chai delivered exactly what we wanted and in less than a week after we first pulled in to Hampton Toyota for an oil change, we drove our 2014 Sienna van home. We love the Sienna van. Thank you Chai for making this such a pleasant buying experience for us. More

Top-notch new-car buying experience and trade-in value Just purchased a 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid at Hampton Toyota. My experience with Hampton, and particularly salesman Chai Phumsorn, was extraordinarily Just purchased a 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid at Hampton Toyota. My experience with Hampton, and particularly salesman Chai Phumsorn, was extraordinarily positive. I had five car-buying apps on my phone, and checked new-car pricing, trade-in value, what was available elsewhere, and at each juncture, Hampton Toyota gave me straight, clear, and useful information which helped assure me I was making a sound decision. I have to also comment about Chai's personality and professionalism. I came at about 3:45 on a Saturday afternoon. I was ready to buy an Avalon, but was unsure about what model or how much I wanted to spend. I looked at everything from used XLE's to top-of-the-line new Limiteds. Throughout, Chai was relaxed, patient, answered every question, and never got annoyed when I wanted to look at a car a third, fourth or fifth time. I finally settled on an Avalon XLE Hybrid Touring model, and I absolutely love it. Chai stayed late to see the sale completed, detailed the inside of the car as I did the paperwork, helped transfer all my belongings from my trade-in vehicle, moved all my stickers from one car to the other, and then gave me an orientation to my new car's features so I could drive it safely out of the parking lot. It was almost 8:00 p.m. by then, and Chai and Charles (who did the paperwork) stayed two hours after closing time to finish the deal. Highly recommend Hampton Toyota, and Chai Phumsorn. More

A diificult decision, hopefully for the BEST! It took me some time to get convinced as the money has been tight for so long, but Mr. Chai Phumsorn was patient enough to wait for me, without push It took me some time to get convinced as the money has been tight for so long, but Mr. Chai Phumsorn was patient enough to wait for me, without pushing the situation and gave me different alternatives with reasonable explanations. He was courteous, friendly, well informed and tried to help me to the most. In fact, I was not super happy with the latest experiences servicing my old car, but this great help and attention Mr. Chai gave me together with the great attentiveness given to me by Mr. Jason in Services, made me change my mind and remember there are still great people in the world that can make you recover confidence in the mankind. I was worried about talking to Hampton Toyota about buying a car because I have heard so many negative reviews. I can honestly say they were very friendly and helpful. Any time you buy a car, negotia buying a car because I have heard so many negative reviews. I can honestly say they were very friendly and helpful. Any time you buy a car, negotiation should be expected, and it was actually pleasant and easy with the guys from Hampton. My husband and I certainly did not feel pressured and were able to come to an affordable agreement. Since we have purchased the car, I have had problems with the MP3 player, and was able to bring it in w/out an appointment. Chai, who originally showed us the car, was able to help me configure my phone so the MP3 feature would work. I would definately recommend Hampton and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. More

I bought my first car from there which was a Toyota Echo and loved it. The people ther were all so very nice and thats why I went back about a month ago and traded it in after 12 years........and still the and loved it.
