Feeling Swindled Boch Toyota is 2 miles away from my workplace, so I usually take my car there for service. I've always felt like I was treated fairly, and I've alway Boch Toyota is 2 miles away from my workplace, so I usually take my car there for service. I've always felt like I was treated fairly, and I've always had good interactions with all of the service technicians and managers. It's definitely more expensive than a local shop, but it was a price I was willing to pay for the convenience factor. However, I will not be going back again except in an emergency. I brought my car in for a state inspection on 7/24/2019. I knew I would need new tires to pass the inspection, so I had those done. The service advisor (Chris Gray) pointed out a few other things that needed to be done (replace timing chain tensioner/replace lower ball joints/replace tire pressure monitor), none of which I agreed to at the time, but I thanked him for his input. My car passed inspection. Almost immediately after leaving the lot, I noticed a loud, and unusual, creaking sound coming from the front left tire. I was heading out of town on vacation the next morning, and could not get back to have it looked into. I notified Chris that I was having an issue, and said I would be in as soon as I could. "As soon as I could" ended up being 8/21/2019-exactly 5 weeks later. Turns out the creaking sound was due to a broken wheel cover. Whether it was broken prior to my visit on 7/24/2019, or if it was broken by a technician while my tires were being replaced, I don't know (and I'm not really concerned about). The service advisor (Angel Pimentel) informed me of the good news that it was just a broken wheel cover, but he had some "bad news" for me otherwise. He proceeded to show me that: -The drive belt needed to be replaced -A brake light bulb needed to be replaced -both front AND rear brakes needed servicing and/or replacing Reminder: 5 weeks prior, my car PASSED a state inspection, which included a review of the brakes. The technician's report indicates that the left and right brake lining were both at 6mm. The rear brakes are drum, and the report just said "drum". 5 weeks later-35 days, 10 of which my car sat idle in the driveway-my left brake lining is now 3 mm, and the right is 4mm, and the rear drum is zero. I'm no mechanic, but I find it hard to believe that I would have worn down my front brakes that much in 25 days. I don't drive much (difference in the odometer between visits is 735, or just shy of 30 miles per day), but based on the reported difference, it looks like I would burn through brake pads in less than 6 months. I just don't buy it. On top of it, there was NO mention of any of the items which were reported to me on 7/24/2019. I get that different technicians may find different things. And if I hadn't just had an inspection AT BOCH, I might have believed that the brakes needed to be done. But something doesn't sit right with this. So I no longer trust that I'll get honest feedback at Boch Toyota, and will no longer go there for service nor recommend it to anyone. More

Going the extra mile Simple service visit for a new car on a Sunday; thought I would also pick up a part while there since website said that parts department was open on S Simple service visit for a new car on a Sunday; thought I would also pick up a part while there since website said that parts department was open on Sundays (it ends up they are not); still the part was in stock and the service manager got the part for me and rang it up as part of my service visit. This saved me a 2nd trip so I really appreciated that. More
