Upon entering the showroom we were greeted by a pleasant helpful receptionist who directed us to an area of the showroom where we could browse the inventory of SUV's. We were given the freedom to explore for a few minutes without any pressure or salesperson. After about 10 minutes we were greeted by a sales rep, Dan Cottrell, and we explained to him what our intentions were. He listened patiently and gave us an extensive description of the SUV and the various option packages that were available. He then took us for a test drive and continued to carefully explain all of the features of the vehicle. Upon returning, we were convinced that we wanted to lease the GLK. Dan explained the different lease programs that were available and negotiated a very fair deal for us. There was no pressure or "smoke and mirrors" involved. We dealt with Dan, and Dan alone. We did not have to play the, "Let me check with my manager ...," game. We agreed to a price and left a deposit. Later that evening Dan called us at home and told us that he had the car in stock and we could pick it up at out convenience.The next day we returned to the dealership and met with Dan to pick up our car.We were given an extensive education on every aspect of the car by a specialist. We were taken to the service area, given a tour of the waiting area (which is nothing short of magnificient), and introduced to our service manager. We then returned to Dan who completed our paperwork and were on our way home in our 2013 GLK 350.The next day, Dan called us to see how we were enjoying our car and assured us that if we had any questions or concerns to call him at any time. To Edison, New Jersey simply to work with Dan Cottrell. His service is exemplary and attention to detail extraordinary. From pricing to delivery, you cannot get better service than the Ray Catena group. Matthew Kratzer was exceptionally courteous, helpful and patient explaining and setting up the systems in my car.This is my fourth car from Dan and , God willing, not my last.I have two Mercedes dealers within 15 minutes of my home (Danbury and Golden's Bridge) and neither can even begin to compare with Ray Catena. Hence, we drive over two hours to New Jersey for our car.When you enter the Catena dealership, everyone is so friendly and you are immediately offered coffee, water, etc. and are made to feel special and very, very welcome. This time new salesperson Dan Cattrell was wonderful...attentive, intuitive and most of all just plain nice....Paul (he ran us thru the new car features was so intune with the car...he new every nuance and made the experience fun..Will recommend as alway and let's not forget the great service...NICE JOB GUYS Was this review helpful to you? After looking at several other vehicles from different luxury manufacturers I decided to take a look at a Mercedes. As I entereded Ray Catena Mercedes Benz of Edison I was greeted by salesman Dan Cottrell. He was extremely cordial and offered assistance but we just wanted to look around. After falling in love with the ML350 and GL450. We wanted a test drive. Dan not being too far away but giving us plenty of breathing room was extremely willing to assist us. Dan was very knowledgeable and patient. After the test drive we sat with Dan to go over prices. He gave us many different options to try to fit into our budget. Dan never made us feel rushed. This was a no pressure sale and it was refreshing to deal with such a professional. After signing a deal. I left feeling very happy. Not only because I feel that we got an excellent deal but the class of service that was given to us made us feel very special. The Management of Ray Catena should be proud to have someone such as Dan Cottrell as an employee.
