Traded in a vehicle here and the dealership was responsible for paying off my existing loan. The Finance department mishandled the payoff from start to finish. The payoff was delayed, the amount responsible for paying off my existing loan. The Finance department mishandled the payoff from start to finish. The payoff was delayed, the amount was not verified, and the check they sent was short and had to be returned by the lender. My loan remained open past the next payment due date, putting me at risk for late fees and credit issues. I had to chase this repeatedly for weeks. There was no follow-up, no urgency, and no ownership until I escalated the issue outside the dealership. The vehicle purchase itself was fine; the payoff failure was entirely a Finance issue. If you trade in a vehicle here, do not assume Finance will handle the payoff correctly. Verify everything and get written confirmation. More
