Born in Africa, I have had an adventurous beginning before joining the Family car business. My early years I worked for Procter & Gamble. A great experience learning from a talented team. My wife and I met in South Africa, we got married in Mexico, and then moved to London. Here I continued to work for P&G, and we were blessed with two daughters. In 2008 we moved to Phoenix and I joined the family business at Courtesy Chevrolet. My brother's Mark and Scott Gruwell and my father in law, showed me the ropes as I worked in number of positions at the dealership. Once in the United States we again were blessed with our third daughter. After four years I also became an American Citizen. I am excited to be working across our family owned group of dealerships. After sale issues I purchased an XC90 from this dealer in early November, 2019. The sale process was professional and enjoyable. Prior to closing, I informed the sale I purchased an XC90 from this dealer in early November, 2019. The sale process was professional and enjoyable. Prior to closing, I informed the salesman that I would be registering the car in another state and would need a front license bracket. At closing, I was charged a registration fee for the car. Thinking that the dealer ship would take care of the out of state registration, I didn’t question it. Also, at closing, I was given a credit to the purchase price to resolve a last issue. I was told I would get a check in short order. A day after closing I called to confirm they would be handling the registration. I was told, no, they didn’t do that. I said they needed to refund me the registration fee paid at closing. I was told, first that it would be sent after 10 days, then later that it took 30-45 days. I finally received a check more than two months after closing, but only for the registration fee. I have still not received the closing credit, which is supposed to be forthcoming some 2 1/2 months late and counting. Also, when I returned from out of state with my license plates, I discovered that the front plate bracket had not been installed. I asked the dealership to send someone to install the bracket, but they refused. I will have to drive 50 miles and wait for their service department to install something that they screwed up on. Unfortunately, there isn’t the same urgency to satisfy a customer after a sale as before it. I have indicated 3 management individuals that I worked with, but only because this form requires me to name someone. I don’t know them. I decline to name my salesman because he has treated me fairly. I think these issues are beyond his control. More
