My Review Of Cabe Toyota of Long Beach:
My old car was about to reach 300,000 miles and it was getting to expensive to maintain, so I decided it was time to get a new car. I visited a few other dealerships before I came to Cabe, but they were all either too pushy, not attentive, or just rude. I was actually almost ready to call it a day until I stopped by Cabe Toyota of Long Beach.
When I walked onto the lot, Jorge Briones approached me and seemed pleased to help me look around even though I made it very clear that I wasn't necessarily looking to purchase anything that day. I liked that I didn't feel like I was being hustled around by a pushy car salesman, I felt more like a buddy was giving me an informative tour. The car I wanted to see was way over on the other side of the lot, but he showed no hesitation to show it to me. I ended up liking the Scion xD and tC, and couldn't decide which one I liked better. He let me take both for a test drive, and when he saw that I still wasn't sure about which one I liked more, he offered a second test drive. After the second test drive I was certain that I wanted a Scion tC.
Once we started the paper work, however, we ran into a few problems. Since I was fairly new out of college and just got my first stable job as a Graphic Designer, by credit was anything but stellar and I couldn't afford too high of a payment since I was also paying rent and student loans. Jorge was still willing to try to work something out and was stressing all options that I could try. It boiled down to the fact that I needed a co-signer, so I asked my mom and she agreed, but only if I went out and looked at other dealers the following morning. I felt discouraged since I was so excited to take my first new car off the lot, but Jorge was optimistic and said "Don't worry, we won't give up on you! Work with us and we will work with you."
I went to a few other dealerships that day, and even found the exact Scion that I wanted at a dealership closer to my moms house, but I still found myself back at Cabe Toyota Long Beach with my mom, ready to cosign. My mom likes to play the tough customer when it comes to buying cars, but Jorge still treated her with respect and was very patient.
Once we got to Joe Garcia, he settled any uncertainties my mom had about financing. He laid everything out on the table and when my mom asked, "So this is the final agreement, no surprises?" Jorge confidently responded, "Nope. No surprises." He worked with both of us to get a lower interest rate and lower monthly payment than we originally anticipated. This made my mom and myself very happy, especially since I was preparing to live on a very VERY tight budget for the following months. We even managed to get a Zylon treatment and still be within a comfortable payment. The whole process was quick and smooth, and even though we had gotten to the dealership as they were closing, everybody was still very helpful and pleasant.
When we finished everything up, Joe congratulated me and Jorge showed me out to my car. They washed my car for me and Jorge had even set up the wireless bluetooth to stream music from my phone. He congratulated me, shook all of our hands and we took off. He smiled and waved at us as we left.
My overall experience at Cabe Toyota of Long Beach was very memorable and I was very impressed with their service. The people were great, financing was perfect and I am super happy with my car. My mom was even saying that she will be buying her next car there if she receives the same treatment as I did, which the Cabe team ensured she would. Thanks again!
