Amongst automotive enthusiast, dealers and service centers. Dean Team is regarded as the worst dealer in St. Louis so much so it has become a joke. Let me tell you an example. My girlfriends father bo centers. Dean Team is regarded as the worst dealer in St. Louis so much so it has become a joke. Let me tell you an example. My girlfriends father bought their VW Jetta here and has had it serviced here since and when I heard that's where they were taking it. I was like ok let's see if the rumors are true. It is true. They tried charging for warrantied work, for when the part failed again. They didn't install the alternator properly which caused the belt to shred, That didn't need to be replaced in the first place because of a multimeter test showing that the old one was fine. Then they put in a aftermarket alternator from car quest that isn't even for the car. They tell the owner my girlfriends father nothing of this. Then worse they get the car back and they completely sheered off the exhaust. When originally it was a exhaust gasket that needed replacing. Said it was not their problem. They clearly broke the exhaust by lifting the engine and changing the pulley sheering off the exhaust and replaced the pulley with some random one that doesn't even match the original. My coworkers have heard the car before and they were with me and the first thing they said is that "they broke your car man" They refuse to make it right stating the exhaust isn't their problem and that the wrong pulley is good enough and to let them know if the belt falls off. Whatever you do don't take your car here for service or buy a car from them. They're diagnosis methods are severely flawed. They're repair methods are reckless They don't even call back to make it right More

I just got back from picking up my new VW Atlas from the service department at Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood. I took it in for service because the 7-pin trailer light outlet (which came installed on the veh service department at Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood. I took it in for service because the 7-pin trailer light outlet (which came installed on the vehicle when I bought it) does not work. I have tested it with a Curt trailer brake controller and a 7-pin tester and neither of them show it working. However, they both work fine on my daughter's Ford. The guy at the Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood service desk said it worked fine for them. I tested it before I left the dealer and it still didn't work. So, I went back in and asked them to show it working to me. His response was that "everyone was packing up to leave for the day". (It was not yet 5:00 and they close at 6:00.) He said I could bring it back tomorrow, but I didn't get the impression they would be any more helpful tomorrow. Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood gets an "F" in customer service from me. More

I checked it on line and they did not have a low mileage, used Tiguan which I thought was what I wanted. I used Dean Team Kirkwood repair for several years and they were always very good to me. Because of this service, I decided to start the car buying process at Dean Team Nick helped me get a 2016 Low mileage Tiguan. He was very patient as I test drove not only this car but also a Subaru. We negotiated an agreed upon price. Nick made the process so much easier than I expected. Bill in finance tidied up the final paperwork and I have been happily driving my Tiguan since. More

I've owned 3 Je Jamie was excellent to work with!!! I am a VERY particular person and Jamie made everything great with the purchase of my new Jetta. I've owned 3 Jetta's previously and the purchase of this one was the best experience. Jamie knew EVERYTHING about the car and was able to explain the differences between the 2014 and the 2015 Jetta. I'm glad he took the time to show me all the differences because it really made me chose the right car for me. He was very patient and made the purchase a good experience. I will purchase my next car from Jamie. I have also had my Jetta's serviced at the Dean Team. The service department is exceptional. More

This dealership is still the worse dealership in the big time, I will have to relatively pay over 30000 dollars for a used car (2010 jetta) after leasing and financing the car. They did not lease me the new time, I will have to relatively pay over 30000 dollars for a used car (2010 jetta) after leasing and financing the car. They did not lease me the new car but a car that has already 3000 miles on it and the price is as same is the brand new car. It was my fault to trust them too much in the beginning and I am deeply regretful for getting a car from them. However, after I financed the car, I paid 1800 dollars for extending the warranty. Therefore, they did 40000 mile maintenance plus some replacement last May, which costed me over 600 dollars before they switch from lease to finance for me. So it is certified car now. I have driven 4000 miles since then, however, the car recently had some burning smells and noise coming out of the engine. I went over the service and asked for helps. It took a whole day for them to figure out if my car is covered by the warranty or not. Anthony Sayer asked me to pay 260 dollars (120 check out fee plus some replacement and add some oil in my engine).I said it should be covered by the warranty. I was waiting the whole day to get his response and see if I need to pay the checkout fee and other parts. He said the reason that causes the engine problem is because the oil is too low (but I did pay over 600 dollars for them to maintain my car, including oil change last may). The oil is getting too dirty, too low and not running well because of the recent cold weather, they said. They did not even want to do the oil change for me but only add some oil in it. I am not sure how long my car will be working fine because of this terrible service. By the way, thanks to John Staab's help, I paid 50 dollars for( the checkout fee, adding oil, and some bulb replacement) after the warranty. More
