Professional Grade Sales I was in the market of purchasing a newer pre-owned SUV and found a CPO 19' GMC Yukon Xl Denali I liked at a reasonable price on Car Gurus, located at I was in the market of purchasing a newer pre-owned SUV and found a CPO 19' GMC Yukon Xl Denali I liked at a reasonable price on Car Gurus, located at Coulter Cadillac in Phoenix. I gave them a call and spoke to Jon Bierd who verified that they still had the vehicle in stock. I told him I would be there in an hour an he said he would have it ready. After driving through 5 o'clock traffic on the eve of Thanksgiving I arrive at Coulter Cadillac and thought to myself that this better be worth it. I met with Jon, who is a really nice gentleman, and he immediately shows me the major features of the vehicle. I have done my research on this and other comprabable GM vehicles and can attest that he already had knowledge of this vehicle, it's history, and existing warranty. Great initial impression! After about 5 minutes of a vehicle orientation we were off on a REAL road test in my opinion. We went right out onto the highway in heavy traffic at night which really gave me a taste of the acceleration, braking, and collision avoidance features, and then finished with surface street driving. I was not unfamiliar with driving a large vehicle as I was planning to trade our trusty 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. Once we get back to the dealership we head in to negotiate numbers, which is the most displeasing part of buying a vehicle. Jon presented the same price listed online, which was a good indicator, and also explained a dealer installed glass breakage warning system that was not already disclosed. When I questioned this, Jon was very receptive and explained if it was a deal-breaker he would work with me. I was very pleased with Jon's attention to my concerns and requests. Next we discussed my trade-in. The number that Ryan the Finance Manager provided was below what I was looking for, so I countered, and they came back with a much better offer, which was a good indicator to me that they were willing to do fair business. Unlike the "No Bull" dealership with pushy tactics! That's a whole different story. Anyway, now we move onto Sarah who is working my financing. Sarah was a pleasure to deal with, even with the Renault trade-in blooper! She provided straight forward numbers, which eventually got me into this vehicle. Overall Coulter provided a professional, low pressure, and pleasant atmosphere for purchasing a vehicle. More
