We love Balise Toyota. Over the years our household has bought six cars from Jose Barina. You can’t ask for a better salesman than Jose. I called to see a Toyota Highlander and the sales guy they passed the call to was taking too fast and wouldn’t let me get a word in so I can let him know the stock number. So I get there and walk in and they passed the call to was taking too fast and wouldn’t let me get a word in so I can let him know the stock number. So I get there and walk in and right off the start the lady up front seemed like it bothered her from me just walking in. The sales guy ( Jose Barina ) comes over has the vehicle already running and didn’t even asked to see my id just gave me the keys which I thought was crazy, then I asked him you’re not going to ask for my id and he said no I trust you. So my wife and me get back from the test drive, Jose met us outside and didn’t even asked how was the test drive, what did we like, did we see any issues with the vehicle, this guy didn’t asked anything. Immediately we went in sat down at his desk and he goes straight to try and run my wife’s credit. Didn’t even estimate, run some numbers, ask how much we were putting down, if we had a trade in, before we can agree on anything. We both have good credit but we wanted to talk numbers first before we even agree on anything and started signing anything. So I asked any room for a discount on the price and he goes on saying no because of COVID which I didn’t understand that and that he doesn’t do that, that back then yes but that now no??? This Highlander that we test drove has been on the lot for almost three months because that’s how long we’ve been trying to find a car. This guy looked like he was either off his meds or on something because he was talking too fast and just wouldn’t stay still long enough to listen to what we were asking him that we wanted. We told him to run my wife’s credit thru capital one because she was already preappoved and he kept on insisting to do it thru Toyota and capital one which we didn’t want. We only wanted one inquiry not multiple inquiries runned. We went there ready to make that purchase of the vehicle because that was the color and vehicle my wife liked a lot but when this guy just wouldn’t listen to our request then that was it we were out of there. I honestly don’t know how this guy has been working there for 8 years! I’m just wondering how many other customers has he screwed over by doing this same thing! Balise should really ask customers about this guy because after I left there I spoke to several people that went there to buy a car and got this guy for a sales person and ended up going thru the same situation as I did and also leaving. I also asked another sales guy that was next to Jose Barina’s desk about Jose and he seem very hesitant to just tell me to run the other way by the look he gave me. If I could give this guy a -5 I would. My wife and I both work customer service jobs and by far I think this is the worst we have ever seen in customer service. Oh and by the way we are not first time customers. We have both bought our vehicles from Balise in the past. I would recommend this dealership but stay away from this guy!!! More
