I PLEAD with YOU the reader, please do not purchase a car from the Taverna Collection. I have never experienced anything like the nightmare GM Nick, and owner GinaoMarco Taverna have put me through. My decis from the Taverna Collection. I have never experienced anything like the nightmare GM Nick, and owner GinaoMarco Taverna have put me through. My decision to work with these individuals has been by for, the worst mistake of my life. I feel so much shame and embarrassment while writing this review. AlSO take a moment to check their Yelp reviews where they have a 1.7 out of 5 stars rating and their BBB page where they have a B- rating and 1.47 out of 5 stars. Things that make you go hmm🤔. I bought a 2018 Tesla Model S from the taverna collection with minor damage on the carfax. As minor as that may be, what they fail to disclose is that Tesla can list vehicles in their database as salvaged, even if the title is clean, if the vehicle was involved in an accident. Once Tesla has added a vehicle to its system as a salvage title, you will lose access to the supercharging network, maintenance by Tesla, and any manufacture warranties. To regain the ability to utilize those features, the vehicle needs to pass high voltage safety inspections at Tesla. They state the purpose is for the safety of the supercharger network, and their mechanics. The cost of this inspection is $2000. When I reached out to the taverna collection with this issue, the most GM Nick would do is send me the carfax so I could convince Tesla myself that it was actually a clean title. Talk about making somebody do your dirty work. The vehicle had been advertised as inspected with a clean title. NO disclosures were ever given to warn me of the issue. If the Taverna collection had contacted Tesla while inspecting the vehicle, this oversight may have never occurred. Ultimately I decided to return the car due to their lack of support with the issue. Nick stated he was sending a return confirmation to sign when I informed him. Instead, he actually emailed an NDA trying to silence me. Quite unusual for an honest dealership, isn't it? The vehicle was then picked up within 2 hours of me informing him, and I never received any type of breakdown of their shipping charges. Before speaking with Nick, customer service rep Alex Flynn informed me the return charges would be as follows: * $1100 for Shipping Costs * $1199 for Service and Inspection Fees * $699 for Electronic Registration This totals $2998, entitling me to a $3002 refund(I placed $6000 down on the car). However, as of now, I've only received my $500 deposit back. I also got a $200 check, which Nick canceled after I posted a review in March about my experience. He then called, and threatened me over the review, warning of legal and financial repercussions if I didn't remove it. After refusing to remove the review, Nick took things a step further, threatening me yet again by stating the title would be completed in my name, the financing WOULDN’T be cancelled, and the car would be sent to an impound lot where fees would accumulate. No reputable dealership or GM would resort to such tactics. Using Tesla's app, I tracked the car's return to the Taverna Collection, where it was re-listed without disclosure to the Tesla title status. It ultimately was sold a week and a half later, and shipped to a new owner in Connecticut. Nick is the most unprofessional GM I've ever dealt with. He's practically trying to TAKE money from me. Instead of handling such issues professionally, he prioritizes his dealership over its customers. Lastly, their contract includes an arbitration clause, meaning I can't sue them in court. Any disputes must be settled in Florida, giving them an advantage. Plus, if I lose in arbitration, I might have to cover their losses, further stacking the odds against me. This clause restricts your right to an unbiased decision and favors the Taverna Collection. I recently came in and bought my first car on my own! I was very nervous at first because I have heard about how car salesman could be but Mr JULIO quickly turned my nervousness to excitement.
