Your salesperson and finance manager were awesome to work with. I came from Louisiana and traveled 500 miles to arrive at the dealership and there were zero surprises. Kandir was FANTASTIC. He was professional, patient, went above and beyond to make sure I was happy after my experience didn’t get off to a good start. I made an appointment with him after inquiring about a car I saw on cars.com. He informed me it was on a “stop sale” in which I was aware of. He told me that they just got in the same car except grey off the truck. I agreed to come in and see it. I live in Benbrook. That’s on the west side border of Fort Worth. That’s about 70mi from Rockwall. It’s a drive! I stopped for 10min at Vandergriff on the way to see what the blue shade was, but communicated clearly that I had an appointment in Rockwall and had zero intent of buying. I was about 15min away when Kandir called and I confirmed that I was coming and was about 15min away. When I got there, Kandir informed me that the car had just been sold. There was no communication to the salesperson who showed it, to me or anyone else. I was 15 MINUTES AWAY and the keys should’ve been set aside in preparation for my arrival in which I confirmed. Kandir told me it was test driven as sold AFTER he had talked to me. In fact, the sale was still in process when I got there. He showed me another car that was the same. I saw others on the lot and he told me that they were demos and couldn’t be sold. Kandir spoke with a manager, I assume and located a car at “the port” in Dallas and said it could be here today. Kandir knew I was angry and annoyed, but did his best to try and make this right. We inspected the features and agreed. After a lengthy wait; probably over an hour and then Kandir informed me that the port wouldn’t give up the car. They found another one of the same specs but that vehicle was 250mi away and that I’d have to come back the next day to pick it up. Marcia and I took care of the paperwork, money transfer and completed the deal. Marcia was PHENOMENAL. You have a gemn there and her personable personality made everything a joy and I forgot the long day and frustration of a drawn out process that shouldn’t have happened. I headed out to Rockwall around 1pm to beat rig hour traffic and expecting the vehicle to be close to arriving. I called to check on it and Kandir told me the car was to do be there around 5:30-6 as the driver didn’t leave until 9am. It turns out it was to San Antonio. I had to wait HOURS for this car and at this point, I probably should’ve backed out of the deal, but that wouldn’t be fair to Kandir because none of this was his fault. Eventually I got the car and I enjoy it. I’m still figuring out the features as not much was shown to me or explained in detail. Still, this process cost me a lot of time when it didn’t have to. I was pushed aside for a deal I was committed to for someone who couldn’t wait 15min. That I felt wasn’t ok and I got run around in a desperate attempt to make a deal. I’m on commission in my job and have been in sales at the same job for 30 years. This never would’ve happened, but knowing how sales work, I didn’t want to punish Kandir. This could’ve been way easier, better and a better use of my time in which I value. I don’t think Rockwall Toyota values my time or commitments more than a quicker dollar to be made.
