Top rate customer service Fairly certain we wouldn't have walked out of there with a brand new travel trailer if it wasn't for the customer service from Tina Dew. Her knowledge, humor, and honesty put a spell on us. We'd do it all over again, it was a great experience from being greeted at the door with fresh baked cookies and a smile, sales, manager, parts store to service. More

LOL She also got use hooked on fort willderness at Disney world. The second experience was as good as the first. Professional staff with excellent integrity Recently purchased a used unit on line. Photos were accurate presentation. Sales (Tina Dew) provided thorough information regarding the unit condition. Price was a little elevated compared to several others I had been looking at but considering the condition of the unit, price was fair. Service personnel did an outstanding job of getting the unit ready for delivery. All systems within the camper were fully functional. Unit was clean. My only issue was the fact I was arriving from out of town for the pick up and needed to wait til the following day to receive the unit due to the limited schedule times for the staff to perform the necessary processing. For local residents this certainly should not be an issue of concern. Service Tech (Ricky Miner) was thorough when communicating the workings of the camper. MY THANKS TO ALL! More

First RV purchase My boyfriend and I decided to upgrade from our beloved popup to a small RV. We went to numerous dealerships and searched tirelessly on the internet lo My boyfriend and I decided to upgrade from our beloved popup to a small RV. We went to numerous dealerships and searched tirelessly on the internet looking for "the one". After wasting an entire Saturday driving over an hour to Ashland, VA (and waiting to be helped just as long) to go to one of the bigger dealerships, we decided to stop by Dodd RV in Yorktown which is ironically about 5 minutes from our home. They were only open for another hour but we thought we could at least browse the inventory. Little did we know we would stumble across everything we were looking for! When we walked in the door at 3:30 on Saturday (they close at 4:30) we were immediately greeted with a smile by Linda and walked back to our salesman, Greg. He is a no pressure salesman and listened to what we wanted and immediately took us out to look at the inventory. He spoke to us as if we'd been friends for a long time and that didn't stop after our purchase went through. Arnold in finance was also fantastic and locked us in with a great rate explaining every step thoroughly along the way. On the day of our walk through, Cindie in parts walked us through their entire store explaining all the inventory in the store and the necessities for keeping our RV in top top shape. Dan walked us through every inch of our unit showing us how to work everything and how to properly operate everything in our RV. Everything about this dealership is great! While our purchase was not without incident, we were taken care of and all the wrongs were fixed as soon as I contacted them. After speaking to the service manager, Joey, who was very accommodating and helpful even though he was trying to go on vacation, he hooked us up with Mike in the service department. Mike was TREMENDOUS and took his time showing us how to hookup and properly tow our new "toy" even though the dealership was recovering from a very busy local RV show. Never once did we feel we inconvenienced him or anyone else for that matter. Our salesman, Greg, also rode with us to the storage facility where needed to temporarily store our unit and helped my boyfriend maneuver the RV since it was his first time towing something that large. I cannot say enough about the quality of service we've received. Each time I walk in the door I'm greeted by name and they truly do treat you as a friend! Don't waste your time going anywhere else!! More

A far away purchase I purchased a Thor Chateau 26A from Dodd. The unique situation was the fact that I live 600 miles away. I found the the unit online and was able to I purchased a Thor Chateau 26A from Dodd. The unique situation was the fact that I live 600 miles away. I found the the unit online and was able to make an offer and negotiate the purchase right over the phone. Greg Guin was very cordial and accommodating during this process. Even all of the challenges of coordinating the paperwork and pick up were handled seamlessly by the Dodd RV staff. Arnold Smith facilitated the purchasing paperwork with ease. My travel to Dodd was made easier by Linda Testa who picked me up at the train station and had warm cookies ready when we arrived at Dodd RV. While there I was welcomed by several of the staff and the walk through was handled professionally by Peter. Peter had the unit all warmed up with the lights on and took the time to show me all the details. Peter even closed everything up and drove the unit up to the front so all I had to do was get in and drive home. More

The staff was friendly and shared their own family stories... We saw pics of family members and pets... It's clear these people love their jobs and who they work for. Dodds has my business. I won't buy an RV anywhere else... And next time we promise to be ON TIME!!! We live an hour away from Dodds and had a few things slow us down on the morning we were scheduled to pick up our camper. We were quite late! They still went out of their way to give us the best experience possible. Thank you guys for your kindness. I would highly recommend Dodds!!! If you go there just tell them 'the people that were an hour and a half late picking up their RV sent you!'.... More

Every team member we met went out of their way to make sure our needs were met and our concerns/questions were answered. I recommend this family dealership to anyone and everyone who is considering an RV purchase as you won't get a better deal or be treated this well any place else. I can't wait to return one dayrto purchase out upgrade. More

Life Is A Journey, Enjoy The Ride-With Dodd RV Yorktown My boyfriend and I went to Dodd RV of the Peninsula (Yorktown) to see a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain that we'd seen on their website and, upon arrival at My boyfriend and I went to Dodd RV of the Peninsula (Yorktown) to see a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain that we'd seen on their website and, upon arrival at the dealership, were directed to Greg, who was very friendly, patient, and willing to take all the time necessary to show us every RV that we wanted to see and that he thought might meet our criteria. When we stepped up into the Winnebago, it was love at first sight, and Greg did everything to make the sale right for me. In fact, I believe that we spent about 5 hours with him and had a great time! Greg introduced me to Arnold, who was really happy for me to be purchasing such a nice RV. That was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to pick up the beautiful Winnebago, and make her ours. There is a wonderful feeling about walking into the dealership, and seeing your name on the board, where everyone who walks in can see it. A friend gave us a ride there, and Greg took us out to the Winnebago, so we could show it to him before he left. Then, Greg sat down with me and took care of the paperwork involved with the actual sale. When Greg finished his part, Arnold took over with the rest of the paperwork and explained everything to me along the way. Arnold then turned us over to Jene, in the Parts and Service Dept., who was very friendly, helpful, informative, and gave us their version of the Sears catalog along with a tour of the dept., explaining everything as we went through. When Jene was done, Pete took us out to my newly purchased Winnebago and proceeded to take us from front to back, side to side, top to bottom, inside and out, and spent about 4 hours showing us every function of every system, and how to operate everything. He was fun to work with, patient, and easily answered all of our questions. When an issue with the refrigerator and generator came up, Ricky jumped right in and got it resolved. After working with Pete, we went back to see Jene, to purchase the accessories we needed. We had a while before we could leave, because I had to wait for my insurance agent to put a policy together for the Winnebago and fax it to me. Everyone kept saying to stay as long as we needed and to make ourselves at home, and Linda was also very friendly and accommodating. I also met Mike, and he was as helpful and friendly as everyone else there. We couldn't have had a better team to work with, and I couldn't be a more satisfied customer. Actually, I don't really feel like a customer. I feel like part of the "Dodd RV Family". I didn't purchase a brand new $250,000.00 RV, but I was treated as if I had, through the entire process. If you're in the market for an RV, new or used, I suggest you get to Dodd RV of the Peninsula. That is, of course, if you're looking for no pressure, quality service in finding a quality RV. Make sure to read their motto and mission statement, located in their lobby. It's such a joy to work with a dealership that cares about people more than the bottom line. But that's where their vision pays off. In caring more about truly helping the people who come to Dodd RV, they probably make more RV sales than any other RV dealership around. The team at the Yorktown Dodd RV, is just that-a team. They all work together like a well-oiled machine. They all enjoy working with each other, and they make it very obvious that they love their jobs. How refreshing it has been to work with this great group of extraordinary individuals. The bottom line here is that I now own a beautiful 1999 Winnebago Chieftain (that I absolutely love!), and I love Dodd RV in Yorktown!! I can't say enough good things about how great they all are. I love you guys, and I'm a friend for life!!!! In the wise words of Yoda, Jedi Master, "There is no try. There is only do, or not do." You all "DO" exceptionally well!!! More
