Basically, I was lied to just to make a sale by the end of the year I was sold it car I could not afford. I have not even been able to make a payment. The car is probably going to be repossessed.my loan was huge after leasing a car for three years. I am just sick. They took advantage of me a 75 year old woman. I have never in my life had an experience as bad as this, and believe me, I have purchased a list a lot of cars. I am probably going to get an attorney. More

After a few minutes of discussion about the vehicle, she asked about which state, county and town I was from and said that she would work up a price for me. Which at the time I thought was ridiculous, as it was advertised at $22,544, so I figured she would do her best to give me a great deal, which she assured me she would. I told her that time would give me an opportunity to research flights to Florida to pick up and drive it back. When she called back, much to my chagrin the words that came out of her mouth absolutely floored me! She told me the "out the door price" for the $22,544 2019 Honda CR-V LX 2wd with 7700 miles on it was actually $25,318! A $2774 increase over what was advertised!! Asking someone to do their best when penciling a car deal usually and customarily means figuring a LOWER PRICE! Not at Ed Morse Honda, it means a higher than advertised price. The whole reason why I was looking online was to find the vehicle I wanted and SAVE money, however at Ed Morris in Florida a year old used vehicle costs more than a brand new 2020 in Arkansas! Just to let everyone know, I recently purchased a brand new 2020 CR-V LX for $24774 here in Arkansas. A year newer, 13 actual miles on the OD, came with upgraded custom floor mats, scratch guard around door handles & door edges and tinted glass. And I still saved $544 over the price Marie quoted me at Ed Morse in Palm Beach Florida for the used year old unit. Not to mention the plane ticket I didn't have to buy to fly there and the 24 hour drive to get it back home. Full disclosure: Marie did call back before we purchased our 2020 and asked if there was anyway I would consider buying her vehicle? I was originally prepared to pay their full asking price, but after getting shafted I said sure and offered $21,000 out the door. Telling her I'd take care of everything such as tax, tags etc. But she emphatically declined stating the price is firm at $25,318! What a joke! I cannot understand how they can actually think this is the right way to do business? But I'm guessing because they are in Florida and think folks in Arkansas must be stupid or they just don't understand people in general are actually a lot smarter and much more honest than they are!
