The purchase of my nearly new vehicle was not a very good experience. I felt like my business was not really wanted. Initial online inquiries were responded to by a bot and were not helpful (and had I been experience. I felt like my business was not really wanted. After going in and looking at some vehicles I followed up with questions via email with the salesperson. Responses felt curt. They also apparently do no offer any kind of shuttle for those purchasing vehicle (not even locally). When I said I would be coming in to purchase one, I got a stereotypical response of "better hurry because we have had others interested" and was told they do not hold used cars when I asked if I could do a deposit or something to ensure it was held (and I did not waste my time going in). At time of purchase I was left sitting alone for long periods of time while the salesperson was doing whatever (they never told me what they were going to do). At one point I saw them answering the phone at the front desk. Meanwhile, the salesperson with the couple next to me (who were purchasing a new car) sat with them and chatted while their paperwork was being processed elsewhere. A supervisor even went to them and congratulated them on their purchase. I continued to sit alone with no explanation of what was happening or what I was waiting for. Eventually they did come back and everything was finalized, but I sure did not feel wanted or that my business was appreciated. When I was looking at the vehicle again that second day (before going in to actually purchase it), I noticed a scratch on the side. I mentioned it and asked if they could cover it. The salesperson said they could ask, but seemed kind of annoyed (with other questions I had on the car too). The night/early morning after purchasing the vehicle I received an auto email from the dealership notifying me the price of the vehicle I had just purchased was being dropped $500 (I had signed up for notifications on it). I found that frustrating. I sent the salesperson a message letting them know. They responded apologizing and saying that the messages are automatically sent and they had not planned on reducing the price. I wonder how many other price drop alerts have been sent out for their vehicles that they won't/don't honor. There were some paperwork hiccups after my purchase. Communication regarding them from the finance person was horrible. The issue could have been taken care a lot sooner and without so much frustration if they had properly explained why things needed to be done a certain way. Overall, communication with like three different staff (and the auto bot) sucked from initial inquiry to purchase to after the purchase. More

I was so morbidly apprehensive to walk into a car dealership, but I was pleasantly surprised! We weren't sure we were even going to buy a car from Carter Subaru Shoreline that particular day, though dealership, but I was pleasantly surprised! We weren't sure we were even going to buy a car from Carter Subaru Shoreline that particular day, though we knew we needed one soon - but the experience was so relaxed and low-pressure, that we ended up buying one on the spot. It all went seamlessly. And we LOVE our new Forester! We're even planning to drop in in the next couple of months for a second car to add to our new Subaru family! :) More

Mary was our first contact, and she was so kind and helpful from the start. When she wasn’t available, she connected us with Bini — and we can’t thank her enough for that!
