In the past I have found the process of purchasing a car My experience at Lockwood Kia was a fantastic one. I am very happy with my 2016 Kia Soul. In the past I have found the process of purchasing a car a bit stress educing, Jack was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. I felt confident and comfortable as he assisted me in picking out the right vehicle. I have/will continue to recommend Lockwood Kia to others looking for a new or used vehicle, and I myself will continue to visit Lockwood for servicing and when I'm ready for my next car. From the initial inquiry right through to the very comprehensive and personal handover nothing was too much trouble. The cliche is that buying a vehicle is a stressful ordeal but not in this case. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Brutal and shady First time car buyer. Worst experience ever. Was looking to buy a used kia forte koup, and travelled to oakville from Niagara because I saw a vehicle First time car buyer. Worst experience ever. Was looking to buy a used kia forte koup, and travelled to oakville from Niagara because I saw a vehicle online that I liked. Had I known the customer service was the way it was, I would've never bought the car. First off, Jack, the guy I purchased it from was not knowledgable on the vehicle or his company policies what so ever. Every question he had to leave to ask someone else about it, and eventually when we said we will go home and think about the car, he said he had not made any sales this month and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get this one. Since I liked the car, we eventually negotiated some things and I ended up purchasing. However this is where the problems started. I purchased the car on the Tuesday, and since they were going to tint the windows for me and fix a bunch of scratches, they said I could pick it up on Friday. Also, the drives side floor mat had holes in it from what looked like winter salt build-up, but jack said no problem to fixing that, and in fact we went into one of the other used cars on the lot and took their perfect condition floor mat, BUT this is where Jack started to get shady but I hadn't noticed until I drove the car home days later. The mat he grabbed didn't fit properly on the notches on the floor of the car so it slid around a lot. He clearly knew this bc he had to unclip the old mat, when he knew the new mat wasn't clipping in properly, he should've told me instead of being shady and hoping I didn't notice. Getting back to the day of picking up the car, we checked it out and everything making sure it was all set, however none of the scratches were touched up as he said they were going to be, but as jack says you can just come back and get it done. Umm no I can't because I'm from niagara and my work schedule doesn't allow me much time to do things like that and this was supposed to be all set for me to pick up. Once I started driving the car home, I noticed a strange noise (sounded like a wheel bearing) and right away called them, they said when I come in to get the paint job, they will look at it. So a few weeks later, I headed back again, which took an hour and a half because of major traffic, I waited in the waiting lounge while they supposedly painted the scratches over and checked out my car, a little while later they came and said they'll have to order a wheel bearing and it should take 7-10 days and at that time I'll bring it back to get serviced. What?! Bring it back again? Take another day off of work? Onviously pissed off I left, and it was raining so I couldn't see what kind of job they did when they painted. Got home and the next day was sunny and bright out, looking at my car and it's full of buff marks about one foot in diameter, obviously pissed off and now so tired of my mat sliding around and realizing there were clips that the mat didn't fit into which is why it was sliding. I told myself when they set up the appointment for my wheel bearing, I will ask them about the other things. 3 weeks go by, still no call about the part being in, so I call them and demand to speak to management. Spoke with Michael and he looked into the part and I told him of my other annoyances and we both agreed that it's not a brand new car and that thigs would be wrong, however when staff are making promises or being shady, that is not acceptable. So he said he would look into everything. Finally he called to say the part was in about a week later (he left a message) so I called back to make an appointment. I had made it for 2 weeks from then, as I had the day off and was driving through the area. We had made the appointment for 10am, but they stayed I could drop it off any time before that as I was driving through. When speaking to the manager michael. He assured me that on my next visit he would personally deal with the scratches and the mat situation to ensure things were done properly this time. Finally the day came and I went to the appointment, got there at about 9am. Said I had an appointment, the guy looked at me and said we know nothing about any of this, and there is no appointment made. I obviously almost lost my head, but he was very nice and said but it's not a problem we will get you in (the ONLY nice part of my entire experience) . I left the car there and a few hours later they called to say the car was finished , but they do not carry the carpeted mats anymore and asked if it was ok if they gave me the brand new rubber mats. I said absolutely as long as you can guarantee they are not going to slide, the gentleman said no, they will not slide. Needless to say the mats don't even fit properly, the sides have to be folded and one hundred percent they do slide and have even caused me to nearly get into an accident on several occasions because they get stuck under the pedals. But I was way too pissed off to have to deal with the company again so I just took out all of the mats all together. Just when I thought I was finished and never had to go back and deal with Lockwood kia ever again, I get a letter in the mail from serius radio saying my 3 month free trial has ended. Thank you lockwood kia for letting me know I had a free trial. Luckily serius radio had awesome customer service and gave me a real three month trial, which I will continue to pay for that service after the trial ends because it was so great. In conclusion, never buy a car at this dealership, they are honestly the worst and if I could give back the car , I would in a heartbeat based on the customer service I've had to experience. More

From the moment we stepped in the door she was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient with this daunting task of purchasing a new vehicle. Her friendly nature was a very big asset in making such a big purchase. She took the time to allow me to test drive, and ask numerous questions about the product she sells. Never once did we feel rushed at all. The customer service continued with anyone else we spoke to at this dealership. Customer service in my mind is what brings people back, and Lockwood will continue receiving my business. Thank-you very much. More

I will definitely recommend this dealership to anyone I know that is looking for a vehicle. I was looking at replacing both my vehicles and went to all the dealerships to look at comparable SUV's and a smaller car. In most dealerships, I felt as a customer who if not serious to buy, the sales people would move on to another willing customer. I must say that this was not the case at Lockwood Kia. I went with my family and met with Kendra and felt like we were family talking about what the best fits were for the 2 vehicles. I do not recall any sales person telling me that if I was not 100% sure to buy a vehicle or anything else, for that matter, that I should not. At this dealership, talking with Kendra and Matt, I actually heard this statement. I am totally impressed with the Kia lineup and would not hesitate to buy or lease any of their vehicles. I would sincerely like to thank Kendra, Matt and Trent for their friendly and no pressure tactics. My young daughters were privy to an incredible experience and when they get to the point of purchasing their own vehicle, they will look back at this experience as a baseline. More

Kendra Hatheway was our sales person and right from the start we hit it off. She listened to what we were looking for and most importantly remembered our names!! By the end we truly felt the family experience and we know that all the staff worked hard to make our buying experience seamless and fit our needs. There was no sales pressure, gave us time to think things through and what options were available to us.. they made this purchase happen for us and we are truly grateful for all their patience and time. This may not be the biggest dealership but the family experience will always have us come back for future purchases. More

First Time Car Buyer - Fantastic Experience I went into Lockwood Kia looking for information on financing my first vehicle. I was immediately greeted and warmly invited to share some information I went into Lockwood Kia looking for information on financing my first vehicle. I was immediately greeted and warmly invited to share some information about what it was I was looking for. Charles walked me through the whole experience allowing me to ask many questions, addressing any concerns and really putting me at ease. Charles was friendly, knowledgeable and patient as I went through my research and purchase process. Charles went above and beyond my expectations and even called me to make sure I was comfortable and that all of my questions were answered. Trent came and checked in on all of my meetings with Charles (3 total including vehicle pickup); he was always friendly, and made sure I was happy with everything. When I sat with Matthew to discuss finances, he took everything slowly and made sure I was fully aware of all aspects of my contract. He took time to explain the philosophy of Kia and the reasoning behind all of my warranty options. Matthew was very patient and explained all technical aspects of my contract in detail so I was fully aware of my agreement. After every meeting, and after driving away with my new Kia Soul, I felt that I was given the best service and care I could ask for. I am very pleased with my purchase and I look forward to visiting this location for my service appointments. I would recommend Lockwood Kia to any car buyer; you will be well taken care of! More
