My purchase experience handled by Mr. Benice was professional. Along with the vehicle purchase, I purchased the extended warranty bumper to bumper coverage. From that point forward my experience has been very anxiety producing. Five weeks after I had my new HRV, I had to stop at a rest stop on a trip out of town because my braking ability was severely poor. When managed to get to a parking spot, I noticed bake fluid leaking underneath my vehicle and I had no braking ability any longer. After spending a night in the rest stop, I arranged for a tow to the nearest Honda dealership. After their inspection the next morning, they told me I had no fluid because the bleed valve had not been tightened by the Mohawk mechanic when he flushed the system. I was also shown by the service representative and mechanic that the wrench used, was still in place on the bleed valve and NEVER removed !! I had been driving since my purchase (5-6 weeks) gradually loosing brake fluid and the wrench tool still in place. Unbelievable. Since this nightmare I have written emails to the Mohawk dealership General Manager (Greg Johnson) and my Salesman (Mike Benice) and have received no reply. The Service Manager (Mike Healey) did send me a dinner coupon and an apology - but, I am very disappointed in being ignored by Mr. Johnson and Mr. Benice. I should have received a letter of apology from them and an offer for free service maintenance in the future, or something. At this point I will be taking my HRV to another Honda dealership for service in the future. Believe me, the Word-of-Mouth that has taken place by myself and my wife to others has cost Mohawk Honda a great deal of future revenue ! More

Our 2016 Honda CRV will require a new transmission at 70,000 miles. Mohawk and Honda gave us a song and dance despite buying 4 vehicles from the Mohawk dealerships. ‘Go out of their way to please you’ ca 70,000 miles. Their slogan is "we go out of your way to please you"- maybe, in my opinion, if it doesn't cut into their bottom line... .I have bought my last 3 vehicles there with the same salesperson, Mike Bennice, on maybe, in my opinion, if it doesn't cut into their bottom line... .I have bought my last 3 vehicles there with the same salesperson, Mike Bennice, one of the few professionals in the building, in my opinion. He is the one and only reason I came back there. I do not recommend Mohawk Honda, their service is decent but the service people, in my opinion, are not very friendly for the most part and the girls that answer the phones for service seem like you are bothering them when they answer the phones. I feel I was not given discounts I was due, and the car that was "built" for me was not exactly what I was told I would get. I take this VERY personally as this was a huge decision for me, and I was told by Honda that I would be receiving a very important survey from American Honda Motor Company and they said if I couldn't give them the highest remarks to contact the manager at Mohawk directly. Guess what? I never received the survey so I called Honda directly and was told by Customer Care that the dealerships send them out to their clients. Oh, that makes sense, so maybe they assumed being they knew I was upset so they may not have sent it at all , or perhaps unsent it?? Nobody will ever know the truth. I told Honda Corporate that the surveys should come directly from them, otherwise they are bogus. That's it...All I can say is there are many Honda dealerships around, and it doesnt make you an honest dealership because you give to animal shelters and other well deserving organizations. I figure Mohawk Honda owes me about $4500... so I do hope the animal shelter received at least that from them. I spoke with the highest level person there today and, in my opinion, he really didn't want to hear how we could fix this, it seemed to me he just wanted it on record that we had spoken. I wish things could have been different... one thing I am sure of, I would never buy anything but a Honda! More
