I have purchased 4 cars in my lifetime, and my experience at Yonkers Kia was hands-down the worst. *PLEASE be careful with this dealership.* They are pretty sketchy and employ some tactics to trick and cheat at Yonkers Kia was hands-down the worst. *PLEASE be careful with this dealership.* They are pretty sketchy and employ some tactics to trick and cheat the customer. I had read about some of these (making the customer wait for hours for their car, "surprising" you with the trade-in value on the cost breakdown sheet and pressuring you into signing it, etc). However, I figured since I had such good experiences with dealerships in the area such as Rockland Nissan and All American Ford, that most car sales people still had some integrity. I was sorely disappointed. To top things off, I had put down a $500 deposit for my car. Because I was so tired by the time I got my new car, I didn't realize they hadn't applied that deposit to the balance of my car. I called the next day to ask for either a refund or for it to be applied to my car cost. I got one person get back to me (Edgar) who said he was looking into it. However, it has now been two months and I have sent over 16 emails and have not received a refund. Be very careful especially with Nelson (who I also emailed). I am now working my credit card company to get my money refunded, but it shouldn't have to be this way. Someone could have replied to me. I always hate giving bad reviews since I know people work really hard and maybe not everyone at Yonkers Kia is like this, but I feel compelled to let others know to proceed with caution. No one answers the phone at this service center. Then to get an appointment for a battery takes a week & there are no lonwe cars available. I'm sorry I ever left Honda & went with Kia. I shouldn't even have issues with a brand new car (never happened with Honda & now 2 kia's have issues) & customer service couldn't give a single xxxx about customer service but has the xxxxx to send surveys. This dealership after I got a bill of sale did not answer any of my calls, voicemails or text messages to inform me when my new car was going to be delivered. Then after 8 days of being ignored I requested any of my calls, voicemails or text messages to inform me when my new car was going to be delivered. Then after 8 days of being ignored I requested my deposit returned and after getting a run around I finally got my deposit back a week later. Also realized that they charged me sales tax for the higher price they were asking and not the lower price I negotiated. They added an additional $1000 under the guise that those were numbers done by the computer. In total this whole ordeal took 1 month and I was given excuses, empty apologies and my time was wasted. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this dealership but if you do go please becareful, do your research and also have your calculator ready because the numbers they give you could be inflated. More
