My brand new Tiguan broke down, car started shaking, battery died, and several codes fired off on the dash. Strangely 10 minutes later the car was fine but had a check engine light on. Decided to bring car in for further inspection on 7/10. Was told they couldn’t look at it until 7/14, which I was fine with. I tried calling 7/14 afternoon for an update, left voicemail and never got a call back. I called again 7/15, was told the tech was on lunch and Ashley would call right back when he returns with an update. I never got a call back. The VW app showed my car hasn’t moved since I dropped it off. I attempted to call 7/16 and 7/17 and never received an answer or call back. I called 7/18 and spoke with the manager who informed me Ashley was out of office but would give me a call promptly at 7am on 7/21 with an update. I never received a call on 7/21. I called 7/22 and did not receive an answer from Ashley. I requested the manager and all of a sudden Ashley was available with an update, claiming they worked on my vehicle troubleshooting it by test driving with a cold start, warm start, highway driving, and other extensive testing measures. I have three trackers in the car, one being the built in VW app tracker, one being wired in and one a hidden tile. All three trackers showed the car was started one time, 7/16, for less than an hour. My car has been sitting for over a week, Ashley lied about it being worked on. And, she informed me the issue hasn’t been found yet, and the car is not reading any codes. She informed me she will get with the tech tomorrow and give me a call to inform me of next steps. My car was driven again that evening, 8/22 for 15 minutes. I received no call 8/23. I tried calling 8/24, never received a call back. Tried calling 8/25, never received a call back. Finally received a call 8/26 saying the car is ready to be picked up. No issue was found. My car was sitting in their shop for two weeks, worked on barely an hour, and deemed no issues found. I picked up the car 8/27 and went straight to a different shop. Immediately diagnosed the fuel sensor is faulty. Showed me the code history that the codes clearly stated this issue and there’s no reason this dealership shouldn’t of caught that. Mind you, Ashley told me no codes were showing when they were troubleshooting. Ashley was kind when she was able to be reached but absolutely terrible service. Extremely awful experience and I will not be returning. More
