my car was in for 2 1/2 days for 1. 5 hours of diagnostics- tech was unable to provide a solution for under 3000 for an item that broke because of Mercedes crappy design. There was no service manager & only Omar on a Monday morning. Your computers were down- which is not uncommon either…. In 6 years there has been an exceptional amount of turnover….. I would be thrilled to have this job! I sold for a few years- but I really would like to learn service. This department needs a boost and some stability! More

2023 Sprinter van. . RR tire replaced due to nail in tire. LR tire was worn. I wanted a pair of equal depth tires on the rear and asked that the spare tire (which was . RR tire replaced due to nail in tire. LR tire was worn. I wanted a pair of equal depth tires on the rear and asked that the spare tire (which was new) be swapped with the LR to resolve this issue. I was told twice this could not be done because the spare is a "different size". The spare on a 2500 sprinter is the same size, and I changed the tire out myself. Either someone was misinformed or did not want to be bothered with my reasonable request. More

Omar was very disrespectful towards me during a 3-way conference call with car shield. He was trying to get my approval to move forward with repairs without giving me the estimated costs of the repairs. conference call with car shield. When I asked for the numbers, Omar was ill-prepared and was then tallying each line item from memory, he completely forgot about one of the items and the representative from car shield pointed it out, which means a pro forma invoice was not generated or any prior calculations done. Whenever I would ask Omar for labor costs or parts costs, he would ignore me and continue with his spiel. At a few intervals got snappy. When I realized he was intentionally ignoring my questions, I started repeating the question, because I wasn’t going to agree with repairs unless I have the numbers. I even asked him if he was okay, whenever the Car Shield rep asked a question he would stop find out and answer immediately. So that told me he knew better, it was just a lack of respect for me. I will never deal with him again, when Scott was my service rep, he was very respectful, clear and responsive. He kept me in the loop, he was never belittling or condescending. If Omar has a problem with other races then he should not be in the service industry…seek help if necessary. But I do not believe Mercedes Benz of Orange County condones this kind of behavior, based on my previous experiences with Scott. I was going to let it go and take my business elsewhere, but the idea that this might not be his first time doing this, it is only right to bring it to someone’s attention. I am personally disappointed in myself for allowing him to make me react in a back and forth manner, because he failed to take responsibility or acknowledge his actions. It was absolutely my worst experience since dealing with your company. More
