Sales consultant, Mr. Allen showed us a new truck we wanted to purchase but we didn’t have our trades with us. We very much liked the trim level and options on the truck. Allen showed us a new truck we wanted to purchase but we didn’t have our trades with us. We very much liked the trim level and options on the truck. We ask Mr Allen if the truck had the 360 camera system and he said it did. We ask Mr Allen to show us the feature and he tried but couldn’t show us and assured us when we returned the next business day with our trades he would be sure the service department had the cameras programmed, working the truck detailed and ready for us. We put a $1,000 deposit on the truck. We returned the next business day to complete the transaction with our trades. We ask to see the truck and the working 360 camera system. Mr. Allen said the truck is still in the service department and can’t be seen. We are left sitting for hours with Mr Allen presenting various scenarios for our trades. We still insisted on seeing the vehicle we wanted with the 360 cameras working. After being at the dealership for hours Mr Allen finally comes by and tells us the truck we put a deposit on doesn’t have the 360 camera system that he said it had. We ask can the 360 camera system be added to the truck and he said that’s an $8,000 upgrade. After waiting even longer Mr Allen tells us that he has another new truck that’s identical to the truck we wanted and it does have the 360 cameras. By now being two handicapped seniors we are worn out. We drove the new truck briefly and depending on what Mr Allen told us we thought the truck even though it wasn’t the color we wanted we relied on Mr Allen saying it had all the options and features that we wanted in a new truck. Mr Allen said while we are in finance he would have the new truck detailed and filled with gas that it would be ready for us when we finished. Shortly after we were in finance and finance did a lot of paperwork for which we only elected one option which we were told would increase the payment by about $5.00 per month. The terms of the contract were never discussed with us in finance. After we were finished in finance we were taken back to Mr Allen who distracted us by trying to put an app on an iPhone. By now we are totally worn out being two seniors with handicaps. Then Mr Allen said our new truck was finished and ready to go. After we drove away we started noticing that many of the options we were told the truck had it doesn’t. Then we noticed the truck wasn’t detailed, the outside is dirty to include black tar on a white truck, limestone appearing dirt on the floor in the backseat area and on the back of the front seats. Also someone left a black pair of socks in the truck. We didn’t receive a copy of any paperwork or information from finance. We had two trades that Fowler sold within a couple of days after they were traded in and we had made a deposit of $1,000 to the dealership. We received notification from our credit monitoring agency that we owe on the new truck a figure in excess of the sales price. We received zero benefit for our two trade in vehicles and our $1,000 deposit that we paid to Fowler Ford. After a couple of days we found out the new truck we have was rented to one or more customers. A customer had leased the truck for a month. We were never made aware that the truck had been previously rented and wasn’t new. So now we are stuck with a dirty truck that not only isn’t new but doesn’t have the features and options we were told it had plus the truck isn’t worth the amount we owe on the loan. We have reached out to Fowler Fords General Manager but as of this time he has done nothing to resolve this very stressful situation. My spouse is disabled, in his upper 80’s and a new truck was anticipated to be his last truck and he wanted a new Ford pickup with all the features, accessories and options we were told the bait and switch truck contained as a new truck. We do not recommend Mr. Julius Allen or Fowler Ford because of how we have been taken advantage of in this transaction. More
