Stefanie For eighteen years we have handled hundreds of lease buyouts and have never had a customer accuse us of charging $2000 in fees and registration. We have never made a profit on motor vehicle fees -- it is against the state statute, and we do not operate that way. You truly do not understand the numbers. Of course, we were not crooks when you purchased your vehicle and other dealerships were charging $5000 - $10,000 above the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. When I leased the car NO ONE was selling above MSRP. In fact you had an overstock of cars on your lot as I leased the car before the buying spree took place. I also have docs to prove that and the date of the lease will verify that. Whether or not you have many positive reviews, it is irrelevant to what you are trying to charge me. I also reviews see where you have done this with fees before. I also see reviews talking about your attitude and the fact you ignore what someone says and respond to something not even said.. attach all the positive reviews you want, that does not change anything I have said…now as stated I have docs and receipts that show you were going charge more than a $499 doc fee and I have receipts where you were going to charge almost double the necessary MVC fees. Despite what you say the MVC fees are published and every other dealership I’ve dealt with seems to know them well. You would think given how many cars you sell there would be no confusion as to what MVC costs are. You ignore I have documentation with the numbers written on them by your staff and continue to claim you do not charge anything but $499 doc fee. Then you lie and claim at the time I leased the car other dealerships were charging $5-10,000 over retail. Also, on a lease that would not be possible. The truth hurts and your continued false claims and made up excuses prove that. Oh and given you seem to forget how to spell my name it is StePHanie

Stephanie: Your review and comments are completely unwarranted. I apologize for your misunderstanding the numbers our staff provided to you via email. It is best for you to come in and speak with Peter who sent you the quote online. We have NEVER charged a single customer $2000 in additional fees for a lease buyout. Any fees you are required to pay include sales tax and motor vehicles fees which are all due to the State of New Jersey. Nutley Kia does charge a $499 documentary fee - that's it; our fee is significantly lower than the average fee charged by most other dealerships. Kia Finance does charge a $300 fee that is fully disclosed on your lease agreement. As we explained, you also have the option to work directly with Kia Finance to handle your lease buyout -- you will be responsible for handing your own motor vehicle paperwork and title transfer. The registration fees on the DMV website are not clear as day and often inaccurate. If there is an instance where we overcharge a customer for registration (because the State website is not accurate) we refund the customer any difference -- even if it is a penny. You will be hard pressed to find another dealership that is more customer friendly or loyal than Nutley Kia. Jim Russomano, Owners Nutley Auto
