botched passenger side airbag change I was worried the passenger side airbag recall would leave my dashboard marred, and it did. It took three trips to the dealer to address, at 100 miles I was worried the passenger side airbag recall would leave my dashboard marred, and it did. It took three trips to the dealer to address, at 100 miles each round trip. 300 miles, a tank of gas, and it still isn't as secure in the dashboard as it's factory original. The tech's left adhesive marks on the dash panels, footprint marks on the passenger door panel, and some viscous substance on the exterior of the passenger door. I am saddened by the difficulty to find a service department I can feel comfortable leaving my vehicle with. It may not be a Shelby Super Snake, but it means something to me. I did not feel as though anyone here treated my vehicle as they would their own. More

Buying 2019 used Ford ranger Salesman was very busy. He had another customer waiting for him as he was doing my final checkout. That was good for him, but it left him very rushed Salesman was very busy. He had another customer waiting for him as he was doing my final checkout. That was good for him, but it left him very rushed with me. As he put the plates on he had me start the vehicle and at that time I saw the low fuel warning light was on. He did have someone go with me to put fuel in the vehicle, but it left a bad taste. It showed Cortese sometimes misses the little things that count. This was my first experience with Cortese. More

Always a hassle It's hard to put just a simple star review on this because the actual service department (Darren Van Orden) is not bad, it's the other staff like the It's hard to put just a simple star review on this because the actual service department (Darren Van Orden) is not bad, it's the other staff like the scheduling assistant and the rental person, and in this case a salesperson. We have an F-150 and every time it's a hassle to try and get a rental that isn't a compact, we have a supercrew truck for a reason so if we are warranted a rental I would think we should get something at least comparable. Also, despite telling the appointment assistant that we would need a rental, whether or not one was available was not taken into consideration. Only after talking with the service tech did we find out that our original appointment would have no rentals available. My wife was planning to drop the truck off and she has a 1.5 year old with her so that would have been fun to find out there were no rentals after driving 45 minutes to the dealer (they are the closest to us). In this particular visit my wife was offered an opportunity to see if she could "get out of the lease" since she has mentioned we've brought the brand new truck in 6+ times in two years for two recurring issues. Come to find out, "getting out of the lease" meant buying off the rest of our lease to get a new one... no thanks. We were under the impression the dealer would take the lease back early which should then have a higher residual value and use that to offset the remaining payments on our lease, not make us pay for the rest of the lease to give them a truck now worth more because it's only 2 years old instead of 3. Had we known this we wouldn't have even bothered, we'll just wait it out but they made the implication that they were trying to help us out because they knew we were getting fed up with the issues we've had with this truck and having to repeatedly drive out to the city for issues that should either be resolved in the first service or shouldn't be happening at all. How many trucks that are one year old with 12k miles have burned out spark plugs, and then have it happen again 15k miles later? How many times do you need to return a truck for a door that doesn't stay closed (yes, doesn't latch at all) before finally deciding to replace the locking mechanism? Anyway, we had a good outcome from our dealings when purchasing the lease but since that point nothing but bad service from employees at Cortese. At one point my wife was accused of lying about buying the truck from them because they "couldn't find any records"... okay, you can't find the records doesn't mean we didn't sit down in that chair over their with that guy also over there and buy this truck from you, don't accuse customers of lying and get upset with them because they said no to your awful lease buyout offer and they're dealing with a new employee who can't seem to find some information. All that being said, we will not be returning once we are done with this lease, we will be taking our lease to another dealer when we get a new one. Again, the purchasing wasn't a bad experience but everything after that has just been headache after headache. I normally skip these review requests that litter my inbox and keep my bad experiences to myself because they could just be one off and I'm a guy who likes to review based on multiple experiences. At this point, after so many bad experiences and this one in particular, I felt I have a good idea of the trend, it's pretty consistently just bad experiences unless you're just getting an oil change, that time wasn't bad but we didn't have to deal with many employees in that case. Never had a better experience at a dealership before I emailed them about a Kia Sorento that I was interested in. Even though they were closed that day, Monifah got right back to me. We talked on Monday and set up a time to come in first thing. Phil greeted me as soon as I walked in to the show room. He genuinely greeted me, not the smarmy greeting you usually get when entering a dealership cause the salesman sees a sucker walking through the door. Everyone was friendly and loved my dog that I bring with me everywhere. We sat down to talk about the vehicle I wanted to see and Phil went right out to get it. We did a test drive and I said yep this is the one. So he appraised my trade-in and between Phil and Jeff they gave me what I wanted for it and we struck a deal. Jeff got me financed at a great rate. Both Phil and Jedd were a pleasure to work with. They had the SUV ready for me in two hours, so that I could get my dad to dialysis. The whole process was fast and entertaining. I can't speak any more highly of how I was treated as a valued customer from beginning to the end. Absolutely fantastic customer service from all involved. More
