I’m traveling, out of state, and am getting the 12v battery replaced. It should have been addressed when I brought the car to your service department last week. What do we do now?

I don't know your name or your specific vehicle? If the 12V battery issue is due to the malfunction of the ICCU (which is the issue you are referring to), Hyundai will most likely cover it depending on how old your vehicle is and how many miles are on it. I suggest you get with the local Hyundai dealer wherever you are. If the battery was working when you visited us then we would not have recommended replacing it. When the ICCU malfunctions that quickly drains the 12V battery. In other words, it due to the ICCU, the 12V battery wasn't bad, the thing that helps to recharge it is (in those situations).

I had to jump start the car to bring it in. So I guess it technically wasn’t dead. The service technician denied knowing about any known issues with the ICCU and suggested I buy a new battery from him. I’m out of state and the battery is dead so I can’t get to a Hyundai dealership - this is not a good car or a good way to spend my vacation.
