I saw the vehicle i wanted, ( it was the same price cash/finance), I spoke with Ralph Coffee and than sales manager Rich Pagliaro, they honored every promise they made, changing the battery, and having the vehicle detailed and ready promptly at the agreed upon time. There is often stress assosciated with vehicle shopping, but none here. I give them kudos from top to bottom

HI RON ,this is SAL RIVELA,preowned manager of hassett,i was the person who spoke to you about this.i will still stand behind what I said about everything still being 50%,we will not send a car out without being at those percentages.at ten thousand miles it is possible that you could be getting close to the brakes being changed,thats almost a year of wear and tear on them and each person has different driving conditions.the brakes would also have to be at least at 50% before they left here.i don't know what you did to the car at this point.but I did respond to your email when you sent awile ago and said for you to bring the car by so my mechanic could look at it,but I never heard back from you.if you like you can call me and talk to me at 516-809-4453.thanks

Ralph, thanks for your response. As far as what I did to the car I'm not sure what you mean. I complained about the brakes from the time of purchase and returned to the dealer 1 week later. I was told they were fine but they felt very soft. I routinely get more than 40,000 miles from my brakes as I drive mostly highway miles. During our conversation you immediately said the tires were fine before you saw the car. What I expected after buying a $20,000 car and purchasing the extended warranty was for you to tell me to come in and we will make it right. Again, both of these problems were concerns from the start. I've bought CPO cars for many years and never had to do 4 wheel brakes or tires within a year or 10,000 miles. Very disappointed in the treatment from Hassett

Hello Sal,
I heard your response the 1st time and here is where I think you are way off on this. I brought the car back to the dealer right after I bought it with complaints about the brakes and tires. The brakes were never right on this car. You can tell me all you want about the brakes having at least 50% life left in them but these brakes were unsafe from the beginning and I brought the car back in the beginning. When you sell a CPO car your customers are looking for peace of mind otherwise we would just go and buy privately and save a few grand. As I said before I drive mostly highway and I get 40,000 miles or more out of my brakes all the time. I will submit photos of my brakes and tires along with the tread depth readings at the time of purchase directly to Subaru CPO. I just spent a good amount of money to do all 4 wheel brake job after 10,000 miles. This is not what I expect from a certified car. Cutting corners to fulfill technicalities in the CPO program is wrong and not what customers expect.

Hi Sal,
I contacted Subaru directly and they issued a coupon to be used at any dealer to help offset the cost of repairs. Since I've already done the 4 wheel brakes that were needed to pass inspection, the only service I need to do is to replace the tires. I have not had time time lately to come down to Hassett, but if you are there Saturday, I might be able to come in the afternoon. Let me know your hours and maybe we can put this issue behind us.
