I had an incredibly unpleasant experience with the sales manager, Rob. Not only was he arrogant and condescending, but he also made several offensive, prejudiced remarks that have no place in a professional manager, Rob. Not only was he arrogant and condescending, but he also made several offensive, prejudiced remarks that have no place in a professional setting. It’s rare to encounter someone so openly comfortable with being disrespectful and bigoted toward customers. His attitude was hostile from the jump, and he clearly lacks the basic decency required for a management role. Save yourself the headache and go to a dealership that actually values people. More

I was looking for nearly 2 years for a used vehicle (F-150, Super Cab) but I couldn't find what I wanted so finally just pulled the trigger and ordered it. I have 2 other F-150 (2001 & 2006) that I p (F-150, Super Cab) but I couldn't find what I wanted so finally just pulled the trigger and ordered it. I have 2 other F-150 (2001 & 2006) that I purchased from Drew Ford and even visited their facility after others (Penske & Sedona) moved in. Just not the same which is what led me to seek out El Cajon Ford, and I wasn't disappointed! I live in the Kearny Mesa / Linda Vista area so El Cajon Ford had to be a choice, not a convenience. I'd like to single out a couple of guys, Matt was exceptional for the short time we had before leaving. I was passed off to Regan who was a tremendous help in solidifying my purchase, a very smooth transition. What can be said about Rob Slater....his professionalism goes before him. In most dealerships you will never see "the Boss", yet he sits right in the open and is approachable. Spencer ultimately finalized getting the vehicle in my hands. And Josh, he convinced me to get all the extras I promised myself I wouldn't get, a good man.....he did his job well. I couldn't be happier. Thank You for your irrefutable sincerity concerning your customers (Me)! More

EXCEEDINGLY POOR SERVICE FROM EL CAJON FORD During the sale, were were told by both Kathleen Conner (the sales lady) and the finance department that if there was anything wrong with the aestheti During the sale, were were told by both Kathleen Conner (the sales lady) and the finance department that if there was anything wrong with the aesthetics or mechanical part of the vehicle, they would take care of it and make it new again. My wife and I took the vehicle home already upset about the sales experience and how the sales lady treated our 1-year old son. After discovering scratches on the rims, paint, cigarette-burnt cup holder, and a hole in the ceiling liner, we came back to the dealership as we were directed by Kathleen to get it fixed. She then turned us away and told to make an appointment. I am in the Military and it takes an act of Congress to get time off. I took leave to get this taken care of so this was strike 2. Then when I finally came in to get it fixed, they told me that they were going to replace the ceiling liner which is expensive and a lengthy process but they knew a good place that would do the work just down the road of the dealership. A day later, I was called and they said the vehicle was fixed and ready for pick-up. I said that was fast but drove down once I got off work to pick it up. They gave me the vehicle and I drove it home. I inspected the vehicle to see if it was fixed properly and most of it was except for the head liner. They took the cheap way out and put super glue in to fill the hole. I texted Kathleen and said this was unacceptable and sent her a picture of it it and she replied it's not that bad. That was the Ford experience we received. Sub-par. I want to give the car back and put this bad memory behind us but Rob Slater says "Well, that's not going to happen". Who do I need to report this dealership to? More

Bought a used car horrible experience Bought a used car from this dealership. Car had an issue with back hatch dealer was suppose to fix. Four weeks later after a few early morning trips t Bought a used car from this dealership. Car had an issue with back hatch dealer was suppose to fix. Four weeks later after a few early morning trips to the service they couldn't figure out how to fix it. I was told I could take it somewhere else and the dealer would pay half... seriously??? Today I just received a letter from the DMV stating I had no proof of insurance from the dealer and if I didn't show I could have my registration suspend!!! I put insurance on the car before i left their lot, per their suggestion. Crappy place to buy a car..or to get a preexisting issue fixed. More
