My Review Of Dick's Mackenzie Ford:
After returning to my truck from a dog walk in Portland, I found the side view mirror of my truck on the ground. I stopped by Doherty Ford’s service department in Forest Grove, OR for assistance in addressing this issue. I was told they could not help me, and I would have to take it next door to Doherty Ford’s auto body shop. Hence, I proceeded to the auto body shop. No one was at the front desk, and I could not get any of the servicemen to acknowledge my presence. Needless to say, they could not be bothered. Consequently, I sought assistance elsewhere–Dick Mackenzie’s auto body shop. The woman at the front desk greeted me with a friendly smile, as Dave Palmer walked up. I explained my issue to Dave, after which he wasted no time escorting me back to my truck, where he fixed the issue in no time flat!
Due to the fact my truck was due for an oil and filter change, I contacted Dick Mackenzie’s auto body shop, in hopes they would be able to perform this service for me. Despite the fact they were unable to do so, they transferred me to Assistant Service Manager Roger Mackenzie at Dick Mackenzie’s service department. Roger was extremely pleasant on the telephone, and he gladly assisted me in scheduling an appointment for the following morning at a time that was convenient for me. Upon my arrival at Dick Mackenzie’s service department the following morning, both Assistant Service Manager Benito Martinez and Roger ran out to greet me, and Roger even greeted me by name! Roger took me into his office where he took my personal information, shared some personal stories with me that I could relate to as a pharmacy student, and quoted me an extremely fair price. Tricia, the shuttle driver, was nice enough to give me a ride to and from school at no charge. Throughout the ride, she engaged me in friendly conversation. While at school, I received a call from Roger informing me I had two additional issues with my truck, one of which I was aware of and the second of which I was not aware of. The second issue was, in fact, rather serious, and I never would have known it had existed, had Roger not brought it to my attention. Indeed, I was extremely grateful to him for having brought it to my attention. At the end of the experience, Roger personally retrieved my truck from the lot and, with a warm-hearted smile on his face, he handed me my keys. Throughout the entire experience, Roger made me feel comfortable and at ease. Without a shadow of a doubt, I will continue to bring my truck to Dick Mackenzie’s service department, and I highly suggest others in need of excellent service at fair prices do the same.
