1982 Jeep CJ-7 -- 304ci V8 -- Frame-Off Restored
This 1982 Jeep CJ-7 is an exceptionally well-presented example that has undergone a comprehensive frame-off restoration with extensive documentation. Powered by an AMC 304ci V8 paired with a T4 4-speed manual transmission and Dana 300 transfer case, this CJ combines classic V8 Jeep character with a long list of thoughtful upgrades.
The restoration included installation of a new Jeep-stamped steel body, along with OEM hard doors sourced from Collins Bros. Jeep, a replacement windshield frame and glass, and new fenders. The body was painted while disassembled and finished in striking DuPont Mopar Jaspis Blue Metallic base/clear, complemented by Rubicon Black accents.
The frame was stripped, sandblasted, and refinished using Martin Senour industrial frame coating. Additional restoration work included new wiring, gauges and lighting, a new heater core and blower motor, new dual exhaust, stainless hardware, and a Rhino-lined interior.
Since completion, the Jeep has been garage kept and reportedly has not been exposed to rain, helping preserve the quality of the restoration.
