This air-cooled safari is an absolute pleasure to drive. It is powered by a modified and overhauled 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six matched with an overhauled five-speed 915 manual transaxle and Guard limited-slip differential and 7/31 ring and pinion gearing. The modification list is extensive and was built with an ''open checkbook'' mindset. Performance modifications also include Weltmeister DME chip, an M&K muffler, and aftermarket headers. Other upgrades include lifted suspension with Bilstein shocks, front and rear strut braces, and upgraded torsion and anti-sway bars, Werks Gruppe tubular bumpers with skid plates, Scheel-Mann bucket seats trimmed in black, and MOMO steering wheel.
