Like its predecessors, the Virage was built entirely by hand, requiring an incredible amount of man-hours to complete each one. A 5.3L V8 producing 330hp engineered by Callaway coupled to a five-speed manual or a three-speed automatic (later upgraded to a four-speed) offered the performance expected of a car costing well past the $200,000 mark. Period critics spoke highly of straight-line performance and high-quality leather but bemoaned the somewhat antiquated suspension and slightly awkward ergonomics, not to mention the switchgear from less esoteric vehicles. While the car remained in production until 2000 (with various updates and high-performance models released throughout its life), the US only received the Virage from 1990 through 1993. in total, only 1,050 cars were produced in comparison to the over 7,000 DB7s made over its ten years of production. Today, the car's eccentric nature is an endearing reminder of Aston Martins of old. The thundering V8 provides an inspiring soundtrack and relaxing in the the Connolly leather-lined interior is an experience to treasure. With such limited production and unique style in comparison to the rest of the company's post-1990s lineup, it is no wonder enthusiasts and collectors are re-evaluating this exceptional classic. The superb Aston Martin Virage Volante featured here is finished in stunning Edinburgh Silver over Black Connolly leather with a matching Black power-folding soft top. This exquisite motorcar was originally delivered to Japan, where its owner ensured it received exceptional care. The car was imported into the US in 2022 and now shows 14,287km (8,877 miles). We believe this investment-grade Virage is one of the finest examples to be found on the market today, its low miles and remarkable condition make it the perfect example to add to any premier collection. I personally believe the investment potential of this rare hand-built classic will grow beyond your imagination. Offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best!
