The last generation Thunderbirds were available as a convertible only, with the option of a removable hard top. A classic exhaust note can be heard from the modern 3.9-liter DOHC 32-valve Jaguar AJ35 V8 as it propels the Thunderbird from zero to 60 mph in 7 seconds flat, using 280 stock horsepower. As a second-year model for the reborn Thunderbird, this car is in wonderful shape and is an instant collectible. The car is finished in Desert Sky Blue with a matching factory hard top. The exterior is bolstered by chrome wheels, dual exhaust tips, and parking lamps. The interior features comfortable leather bucket seats that are in great shape. These cars are very well equipped and feature an AM/FM stereo with 6 disc changer, auto temp control with dual zone controls, power seats, power steering column, 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows, and traction control. In 2002, the Ford Thunderbird was relaunched in the personal luxury car market with much deserved fanfare. It was immediately named the Motor Trend Car of the Year and was nominated for North American Car of the Year. The car's styling gives a nod to designs of years past, and takes cues from the original Thunderbird.
