The 2021 Honda Passport impresses with good handling abilities, a stout V6 engine, an upmarket cabin and plenty of space for five passengers and their cargo. It is the winner of our 2021 Best 2-Row SUV for the Money award and the winner of our 2021 Best 2-Row SUV for Families award. The Passport is no slouch on the performance front either, with a strong V6 engine and well-balanced ride and handling. The Passport Sport trim comes standard with cloth upholstery, an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports, Bluetooth, a seven-speaker audio system, tri-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, proximity keyless entry and remote start. Standard driver-assistance features include a rearview camera, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation and automatic high-beam headlights. Rear parking sensors were an option when this model was new. The EX-L trim adds leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, satellite radio, HD Radio, additional USB ports, HondaLink, a moonroof, a power liftgate and a universal garage door opener. This trim also includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2021 Passport the highest rating of Good in five crash safety tests and the second-highest rating of Acceptable in the passenger-side small overlap front crash test.
