The Raptor R is the rarest version of an already hard-to-find truck, and this one is here now. Inside, the Bang and Olufsen sound system with 18 speakers was designed for the kind of roads this truck was built to find, the kind where there is no cell service and no one else around, and the connected navigation keeps you oriented when that happens. You are already mapping the route, loading the bed, and pointing this truck toward something most pickups could not survive. What makes this specific truck worth understanding beyond the hardware is the adaptive suspension, which adjusts in real time to whatever surface you put under it, whether that is broken two-track or a long stretch of empty pavement at speed. The dual-zone automatic climate control and memory seat settings mean nothing about this truck is a compromise when you climb in, everything returns exactly to where you left it. The Raptor R sits at the top of a very short list, and that is not an opinion.
