The 2024 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid EX is a compact, efficient, and technology-rich crossover that balances electric convenience with everyday practicality. It delivers an electric-only range of approximately 33 miles, supported by an efficient hybrid powertrain combining a 1.6-liter engine and electric motors for a total output of about 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The Niro EX achieves an excellent estimated fuel economy of 108 MPGe combined and 53 mpg combined on gas alone. Its front-wheel-drive layout ensures a smooth drive, while the 33-mile EV range handles short commutes with zero emissions and the hybrid system extends capability for longer tripstotaling up to around 510 miles. The cabin features a spacious layout for five, with 19.4 cubic feet of cargo space expandable to over 50 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded, and a range of modern amenities including a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, and a power drivers seat. Standard safety features are robust and include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and collision avoidance systems.This vehicle was repurchased by the manufacturer due to a complaint from the previous owner.
