We have purchased 3 cars from Southern over the last 5 years. Service was pretty good until about a year ago. My husband had an appointment for an oil change, and it did not get completed on the day it wa years. Service was pretty good until about a year ago. My husband had an appointment for an oil change, and it did not get completed on the day it was scheduled. My most recent experience with Southern Kia Service was that I set up an appointment to get an inspection sticker and a recall. They said they didn't have the parts for the recall. They had several weeks to get parts. So when I returned once they had the parts, I dropped my car off at the dealership. This is not easy because I care for my 91 year old father in hospice. After not receiving a call to pick the car up, I decided to call. At least 4 times and no answer. Finally got through to someone and they said they would message the service manager. Still no call. That's one full day they had the car and did not call or perform the recall. Still they did not call nor would they answer a call. The next morning I sent my daughter there only to find they had not even started my car yet. My husband after several tries finally got to someone. They called in the afternoon and I finally got my car back. No calls from the service manager. Their only explanation we got was they were backed up. This is the second time and after the last two experiences I had with Southern, why would I ever buy another car there. By the way, my husband also tried calling sales 3 times and again, no answer. I guess our business is not that important to Southern. More

Hard to reach anyone via phone - esp while my truck is in being serviced. Service advisors are good - they do the best they can. But the systems they have to work with are sub-par. Other dealers have systems being serviced. Service advisors are good - they do the best they can. But the systems they have to work with are sub-par. Other dealers have systems where you can track the service appt progress, and approved/disapprove work online. Plus interact with their advisor in real time. Also - it’s not easy or quick to get a rental while my truck is in service. Also, it is not easy nor quick to get a rental while my truck is in service. That can be made more efficient. More
