one of the worst repair experiences i’ve ever had, if not the worst. came in to get some recalls fixed for free, and it turned into a $700, 4 week process. after 4 hours on my first visit, they told me they the worst. came in to get some recalls fixed for free, and it turned into a $700, 4 week process. after 4 hours on my first visit, they told me they needed to order a part and it would be a week. i didn’t hear back for 2 weeks, and they finally brought me in to install it at 3 weeks. just to have me sit for an hour and tell me they have to do it another day because they messed their schedule up. came back a week later and sat for another 3 hours for them to install 1 part. would not recommend this dealership for anything. EDIT: I had to schedule another appointment because after driving for 3 days, the Check Engine Light came on again. I brought it in and told them, and they said that what they did the first time wasn’t correct, that they need to replace something else to fix it, and it’s gonna be $2700. when i told them i would like reimbursed for the unnecessary work done, they said they would have their Service Manager, Ed call me to figure out a solution. no call for 2 days, so I called. Ed proceeded to tell me that he could reimburse me $41, and that it’s not his problem. He then told me that he has a real problem with me for “hiding behind a screen” and leaving a bad review. He ended the call by saying he’s not doing anything for me, and i will certainly never be returning here. More
It’s really sad!! Each time I take make car their they will find something wrong which is not true, just to make money. This time, I checked my car and replaced all it needs to be replaced then took my ca will find something wrong which is not true, just to make money. This time, I checked my car and replaced all it needs to be replaced then took my car for pa inspection. They mass with my brakes which are new and said need brake fluid which I did it just 2 days before. After the inspection, I took my car, the same day I had a problem (engine light sign). Now , I have to take it somewhere else. Each time I take it there, they do something to my car just to make me going back. Sick and tired about this philosophy. Unprofessional guys More
Only getting worse with time. I dont know where to start, but it seems Cochran is too buys investing in new dealerships before fine tuning all the issues with the current ones. Har I dont know where to start, but it seems Cochran is too buys investing in new dealerships before fine tuning all the issues with the current ones. Hard to believe horrible communication seems to be a common thing all over the Cochran business areas. At one point i could say Cochran was the best. As time goes on its progressively getting worse. From service, to auto body and on. I used to be a loyal customer, now its time to break that mold as it gets you nowhere now. My previous 2 services with what basically equaled about a month of not having my vehicle were beyond absurd. My car initially went in for a clunking noise on a thursday morning. Was told it needed a differential and a warranty inspector had to come out to verify. Got a ride home on a shuttle and heard nothing, now here is where the frustration set in from this point onward. Its extremely frustrating to be stuck without a vehicle and not knowing when you are going to get yours back. And as you would hope any service center wouldn't want to inconvenience their customers for a whole weekend, i had to make numerous calls, and it took hours to get a hold of anyone to let me know what is going on with my vehicle and how long they would have it. And the icing on the cake is they didnt offer any type of loaner and i had to make numerous calls about getting a rental through my warranty company which i don't understand why its so hard to do this especially with it being a hyundai backed warranty. Like they should work hand in hand, but no i had to call my warranty company, then the rental place, then Cochran, all to be told to call one of the other places on this friday afternoon. Nothing like being thrown in circles, eventually Cochran finally set it up, which i dont know why they couldnt do this from the start. Got a rental and then had that for two weeks, while never hearing anything about my car, i had to call numerous times a day and get the run around trying to figure out whats going on and how long it will be. Not once did they call me to give me an update over two weeks other than it was done. Get it back and two days after not even driving it and letting it sit in the garage, we go to take a trip and the battery is dead, and someone's phone was sync'd to the car, so im assuming that they were playing music with the car not running (great idea) and they left a plastic piece covering the under body loose and it was dragging on the ground after we got a new battery and it is only currently sticking up because they zip tied it after taking it back because the noise came back. This time i dropped it off again in the morning and they gave me a tiny loaner (elantra) as opposed to a SUV like we have, but a loaner nonetheless, and my car is sitting there again for some time with no communication. At one point i called about 10 times one day starting at 7am until 5pm, and left a voicemail and never received a single call back. It was so frustrating that i had to go up there and ask to speak to a manager who wasnt there and was given no contact info either (how ironic) and then was told to talk to a service advisor, the same people i been trying to call all day. Finally got told the car needed more parts and another inspection and it should only be a few days which of course is never the case and it turned into over a week. I asked for a bigger rental and i got a sonata and was told that they will contact the warranty company about a SUV rental which never happened and was stuck with the sonata the whole time. Just to get my car back dirtier and in worse shape than the original way it came in when all this first started. Moral of the story: if you want to not get your car back in a timely fashion or ever know whats going on with it, while paying for the car note, and be left to figure out your own means of transportation because there isn't a care in the world this dealership could have for you this is the place to be. How about you invest in some technology and customer service skills to keep your customers happy. Especially when they are buying the cars that you service. Do better. More
Overcharges and No Customer Service Took my car into the service center for inspection and an oil change. Inspection is paid as my car is a lease car. Let me preface my rant with the f Took my car into the service center for inspection and an oil change. Inspection is paid as my car is a lease car. Let me preface my rant with the fact that Bob and his team were great to me. The issue I had and still have it that #1 I paid $750 for an inspection, oil change, alignment, and 3 tires (Could have got it for less). #2 The alignment and 2 tires were purchased and serviced at the #1 Cochran Collision Center 6 months prior. So I asked them ok, the tires were shot in the front after 6k miles of low impact driving. Something had to be wrong with the tires or the alignment can you discount the alignment and give me something back on the tires. The shop stated that they could not do anything and I would have to call the collision center as they share the Cochran name but that's it. Ok, so I did. They tell me well it was fine when it left the collision center so it has to be your fault or the roads in Pittsburgh. I made one final plea and said hey look don't you think its a little funny that 6k and 6 months and have to replace the same thing? Manager @ Collision Center and Hyundai Service Center says yes that's odd. I don't think we owe you anything. Moral of the Story - I have taken my cars to other shops in Monroeville (Flynn's, ARS, GoodYear) and never had to revisit an alignment or tires based on the work was done 6 months prior. I have lived in PGH all my life and never had this issue. This has taught me an expensive lesson -Don't Use Cochran for Service. It's a shame really as their leases are good and this tarnishes the dealership name. More
A tad ticked off. I came to get my yearly inspection, and was a tad ticked off after I left. First, I am supposed to get a free State inspection with a paid Emissions I came to get my yearly inspection, and was a tad ticked off after I left. First, I am supposed to get a free State inspection with a paid Emissions test (as a "loyal" Cochran car buyer). Thing is, I drove less than 5000 miles this past year, so I should have been exempt from the emissions. No one came to give me options for paying for state and skipping the emissions - they just did both and made me pay for the more expensive service. Also, I watched MY CAR come from the car wash and sit in the parking lot FOR 40 MINUTES before they came and got me. 40 MINUTES!!!!! WHY did it take them 40 minutes to get me after my car was done? I do not plan on coming back for inspection unless I drive more that 5000 miles! More
Very Expensive Inspection I got my car from here about 7 months ago and I haven't had any issues with it. The car buying experience is pretty laid back and I wasn't pressured I got my car from here about 7 months ago and I haven't had any issues with it. The car buying experience is pretty laid back and I wasn't pressured into anything that I didn't want. However, I took my car in yesterday for a "free" inspection and a safety recall and I will not be returning for service. I was charged $750 for rear brakes, 2 rear tires, and various bulbs that I had checked the night before. They worked on the car for about 90 minutes and charged $300 alone for labor. I would still recommend buying a car from this dealership because of the huge inventory and helpful sales associates, but I would avoid any type of inspection or service that isn't covered under warranty. Never Again NEVER AGAIN On 12/03/15, I received a phone call from #1 Cochran Service Center. I was told that my 2011 Hyundai Sonata was ready for pick up. For NEVER AGAIN On 12/03/15, I received a phone call from #1 Cochran Service Center. I was told that my 2011 Hyundai Sonata was ready for pick up. For over 5 hours, my 2011 Hyundai Sonata was in the custody of #1 Cochran service advisors, Monroeville, PA. I was SURPRISED to find out that no maintenance was performed on my vehicle, "no oil change and no wiring harness replacement." When I arrived to pick up my vehicle from #1 Cochran Service Center, service advisors (Johnston, Sutton and Williams)ignored me for over 5 minutes. The (3) service advisors must have mistaken me for the Invisible Man. The (3) men acted as thou I was not there. About (10) minutes later, I was shock to find out that no one changed the oil in my vehicle. My tail lights on my Sonata were still out and not working. NOTE…A service advisor (W. Casteel) left a message on my machine telling me that my vehicle was done and ready for pick it up. When I later found out that nothing was done to my vehicle, I immediately went to the service manager for help. The service manager had a tech bring my vehicle back into the garage. Two hours later, I left out of #1 Cochran with an oil change, new wiring harness and a freaking headache. NOTE... I wrote #1 Cochran's owner about my horrible experience. He has yet to get back with me.. "Never Again" will I step foot in this Hyundai Dealership. "Never Again" More
