Harry and Jeff and the whole team made it very easy for me to get exactly the car I needed at exactly the right price. I’m grateful for all of their hard work and for the time they took to help find the perfect vehicle to continue our Subaru tradition! More

There were some financing issues and were unable to complete the deal and I completely accept the outcome.I have been purchasing cars at Cochran since 1988 when I purchased my first new vehicle (1988 Pontiac Gran Am) and my family and myself have purchased upwards of 15 vehicles....mainly from Todd S... who is no longer at the dealership....too bad. My dissatisfaction is with Steve Phillips and Larry the finance guy (would have received better service from Larry the cable guy). These folks had the worst follow up for sales and fiance people, and that was before the deal fell through. I'm getting my vehicle at another dealership and Cochran should do themselves a favor and find some new folks to peddle their cars. More
State inspection and emissions testing I took my car into the dealership today to get the state inspection and emissions test performed along with the oil change and tire rotation. The tech I took my car into the dealership today to get the state inspection and emissions test performed along with the oil change and tire rotation. The technician informed me that everything was okay except I had two fog lights, a marker light and a tail light bulb burnt out. They said it wouldn’t pass inspection until I had them replaced. They charged me a total of $168 to replace the bulbs. This included $28.90 in labor charges for EACH bulb. This is ridiculous that is at least an hours worth of labor charges. They had the car ready in 25 mins. from when they showed me the burnt bulbs. More

I arrive and they said they would go get it. 30 minutes later the manager said that it was now in the middle of being detailed, and that it would be another 30 minutes. So an hour after my appointment. I had to go back to college for my last final so I did not have time to stay that day. They said we would reschedule. No one followed up, so the following day I called to see if I could come that day and it was sold. No one called to inform me. Very unprofessional, and makes me never want to buy another car from a Cochran dealership. More

Real Jerk of a Pricing Manager I had a great test drive of a Subaru at Cochran and honestly it was a really nice showroom. Lots of people were there and it looked like a great place I had a great test drive of a Subaru at Cochran and honestly it was a really nice showroom. Lots of people were there and it looked like a great place to buy a car. The salesman was very nice to work with and had a really good personality. The secretary and every other employee there seemed very nice. But I had done a lot of research, and when we saw the price, we asked for a little bit of negotiation. Out comes the pricing manager to try to muscle us about negotiating. ... Fine, I've been to several dealers that bring out the "manager" who is just a physically intimidating guy when you negotiate. Usually they take off $50 and tell you that they are cutting the deal especially for you because they want you to become a customer, blah blah blah. Every car dealership around does this, except a few - but usually those places are nice about it. Garret, our pricing manager, was not what I would call a pleasant person to deal with. I was told the deal was amazing - it was alright, but not the best I got that day as I was shopping around, let alone in the area. I was basically told "if you think you can beat this deal, you should shop elsewhere." Ok! You got your wish, Garret! I'll never buy a Subaru from you. Within 5 minutes, he was playing lawyer with me about his, once again, mediocre price and refusing to even knock off $100. Don't expect your trip to Cochran to be much different than mine if you want to negotiate - these guys don't take it, and actually will be very hostile about it. I went to another (better) dealership that day and brought up negotiating a price to be greeted by a "Sorry, we are as low as we can go." followed by an explanation of their pricing, and even though it was not what I wanted to hear, it was how I wanted to hear it. I have no beef with the people who work at Cochran, but maybe tell your pricing guy to be less of a jerk and you won't lose your customers. You are there to - ** SELL CARS ** - not make people feel like they have no choice but to get up and leave. Cochran, I'm not interested in an apology - I won't be back, because you told me to shop elsewhere. I just want to know why your employees act like this. You really were my worst experience in the area (of 5 or 6 dealers) for no good reason. More
Recall service plus Routine Maintenance I took my 2010 Subaru Outback to Cochran Subaru in Monroeville PA on December 1, 2016 to have safety recall repair service performed on the wiper mot I took my 2010 Subaru Outback to Cochran Subaru in Monroeville PA on December 1, 2016 to have safety recall repair service performed on the wiper motor housing, to have the tires rotated, and to have the engine oil and filter changed. The next morning I experienced the following: The low tire pressure warning light came on and upon checking I found that all four tire were from 5 to 10 psi low. In addition, the plastic cowl strip beneath the wipers had been poorly installed so that large gaps are present between the cowl piece and the windshield and between the mating side pieces. Altho I didn't request the tire pressure be checked when they were rotated, it has been my experience that this was routinely done as a part of the rotation service. it appears that the service tech. who worked on my Outback did not feel this was necessary.. With respect to the poor fitting of the cowl piece (I'm not aware of the proper name of this part) it appears that the work was done too quickly with little attention to getting a good fit. Needless to say, future service work will be done elsewhere. More
