Avoid if you know the car you want and need a quote Came in to the dealership on 2/23/18 at about 12:45PM after I received a very competitive emailed quote from one of the sales team members, Kyle Jones Came in to the dealership on 2/23/18 at about 12:45PM after I received a very competitive emailed quote from one of the sales team members, Kyle Jones, on a Honda Odyssey EXL a week ago. I emailed again to confirm the price before I was to come in, but was informed that he no longer worked at the dealership. When I asked if they would honor the price they said they don't give prices over email and I would need to come in. When I came in today the sales person Reka Potocska, was very polite and courteous. When I asked if the price I received from Kyle would be honored she said she needed to speak to a manager. The manager I spoke with was very pushy, obstinate, and determined not to provide an answer one way or the other as to what they would sell the Odyssey for since he mentioned there were accessories and other factors to consider such as timeline. When I asked for a quote he said "you have a quote" referring to the emailed quote I received. So, when I attempted to clarify by asking if the price I received would be honored he started to hedge by adding that there were accessories, it would depend on inventory on hand, and since I wasn't willing to buy at this minute he could not give me a price. I told him I was looking to purchase an odyssey by April, but would be willing to purchase as early as possible if I was offered the right price. I was just flabbergasted at the experience. For a business trying to sell a product you wouldn't think something as simple as requesting a price for that product would not be such an ordeal. Disappointing to say the least since the emailed quote I received was the most competitive one out of the Honda dealerships I had visited. Just visited Keyes Honda in Van Nuys on 2/22/18 and walked out the door in no less than 20 minutes with a quote for the Oddysey EXL we wanted that was good until 2/28/18 as well as information on financing and warranties. Even though the quote I received from Keyes Honda in Van Nuys was about $500 more than the emailed price quote I received from 1st Honda in Simi Valley we will make our purchase from Keyes Honda as the more pleasant buying experience will be well worth the $500 premium. More
