After two years and 3 amazing services, I unfortunately had a bad experience this past week at 495 Mazda. Alfonso Medina was my service advisor and I got the impression that I was bothering him the entire had a bad experience this past week at 495 Mazda. I didn’t realize that my registration was expired and when he confronted me about it, he talked to me like I was a toddler and had no knowledge about anything. I did push back and insist that my registration was not expired since it was very unexpected. When he brought me the registration in my car he had to point out the date of expiration and once again did so in the manner as if he was talking to a child. The positive part was he did tell me how to fix it, which I did and emailed him the confirmation form and he printed it out for me which was kind of him. When my car was done a few moment later, I hear “Hey….Yo….Frank (not my name)…then there was a pause and he said my actual name. There were three people, including myself, in the waiting area and he had no problem coming up to me earlier, but couldn’t come from behind the desk to tell me I was all set. I thanked him once again for helping me with my registration problem and he said no problem, but felt like I was bothering him yet again. The receipt I received was different from all the other ones I have gotten and was less detailed. Another issue was that I received my video detailing what was done to my car two hours after I left the dealership. This has never happened. I always received them while I was sitting in the waiting area. The video I received after was nothing compared to what I have received in the past. It was 12 seconds of a computer screen with them reading what they did to my car. The did not show the car, undercarriage, or explained how everything looked. I’m extremely disappointed in this experience and really hope this was a bad day on everyone’s behalf. I was looking forward to buying another car through 495 Mazda, but this experience has lowered those chances. More
I have received three amazing services from 495 Mazda and thorough videos after detailing what was done. In December 2023, the advisor was Paul M Deziel and in July 2024, the advisor was Jonathan Terrero. I thorough videos after detailing what was done. Service dept was great handling my unscheduled drop off. We’re good at communicating progress. Helped with transportation to/from work and home with Uber and a free loaner. Fixed problem. Again, unscheduled drop off on Monday due to engine trouble on way to work. Uberred me to work. Did not have loaner available. Diagnosed issue. Part didn’t arrive next day (ordered too late). When part was sent to wrong location the next day, they were able to arrange for me to get a loaner. I asked again for my inspection report. They ran it and gave it to me. Since my car was in the shop I elected to have extra work done based on report. Didn’t get my car back until following Monday because the work wasn’t going to be completed until sometime Saturday. They said I could hold onto loaner until then. I really wanted my car back Friday. Communication became spotty Friday, that I ended up going to the dealership to see if by chance they were able to finish the work on Friday. In general, communication was good this experience but not as good as previous. More
