Avoid A Better Way Wholesalers. I purchased a 2004 GMC Yukon from A Better Way and regretted it. All was OK for a couple of months until several things went wrong real quick. Transmission wouldn't come out of 4th gear (automatic), 4 wheel drive would not work intermittently, ABS braking would engage on dry pavement on a regular basis. I was aware I hadn't purchased an extended warranty and had very little recourse, and by reading some of the prior reviews it would not have made a difference. I brought the truck into a Chevy dealer for them to find a fuel leak which I couldn't locate and to check my other concerns. One hour later I received a call from the Chevy dealer informing me of bad news. "Get rid of this truck", I was told. They told me the vehicle originated from either an extremely salty region, or had sat in salt water for an extended period. Suggested I do not drive the vehicle as the brake lines, fuel lines, brake calipers, and brake rotors all needed to be replaced immediately as they were seriosly deteriorated. Also needed the ABS brake sensors cleaned, tranny cooler leaking, not sure what the 4WD problem was, didn't get that far. Repair costs were $7K. Now, I would assume A Better Way would at least make sure the vehicle was safe to drive prior to sale, but apparently not. Longer story short, I owed $12K on the loan, traded it in for $8K. I was forced to drain my savings account to pay off the remaining $4K of the loan thus putting me in a poor financial position. Just saying, learn from reading these reviews. More
Bought a car from them and it took 2 months to finally get it from service department. Within a week it had to go back for the same problem they "fixed" in the beginning. This repeated several times bef get it from service department. Within a week it had to go back for the same problem they "fixed" in the beginning. This repeated several times before they finally got it right. The first 6 months i owned the car i had it for a month tops and they refused to return it or give me a car to drive because they changed my warranty when i resigned paperwork and did not tell me. They gave every excuse as to why they couldn't figure it out and would keep telling me to call back it should be ready soon. Because it took so long to get the car I had to resign all the paperwork including the warranty from them. Had to bring it back after the 60 day warranty expired and found out that the new warranty that i had signed was different from the one i had originally bought. It covered electronic equipment and that was all. Lied about putting new parts and working on the car. They told me they had put a new part in the car and just recently took it to a factory dealership and they told me it wasn't even the right part for the car. Car was previously in an accident but was told it was not. Found out later that most of the cars they get are auctions with problems and bad titles which is why they did away with giving car fax reports. Would highly recommend going to a real dealership. Good prices but quality of cars and service and staff are not. More
Think twice before you buy from this place. Bought car and the same day a oil light came up. The car swallowed full 3 quarts of oil. Would never believe they sell car with no oil. But that was just the and the same day a oil light came up. The car swallowed full 3 quarts of oil. Would never believe they sell car with no oil. But that was just the beginning. Only in two months the car was falling apart. One problem after another. They did everything possible to weasel out of warranty job. And as a woman, who understand a lot of thing but cars, I can guarantee you these people care only for your money, and in no way for building solid customer base. If you want to save yourself money and lot of headache, go to reputable dealer who sells certified used cars and in no way to this Better Way Auto Dump. Your car will fall apart before you get home! You would think that they would bend over backwards to ensure all the things are taken care of before having some fly in from out of state to purchase a car. Instead I show up and not only is the car FILTHY but the trunk is full of water (the seal was bad) but some of the gauges didn't work AND between the time the photo's were taken and I arrived to purchase the car someone took the rear view mirror out of the vehicle. Then I was given a hard time because I wanted my $1,000.00 deposit back from them, since I was no longer going to purchase the car. The salesperson kept quoting that it was a non-refundable deposit and I told her the deposit was for the car pictured, not the car that I was currently looking at. After going round and round they finally agreed to pay back the deposit, however the accountants were gone so I have to go back the following morning to get the check. More

While the contract does say that all warranty work must be conducted on premises, this is based on the assumption that the dealer met their initial obligations, which they did not. The dealership knowingly sold an unsafe vehicle, which, of course, is a violation of the law and by itself is enough to render any initial contract invalid (keep that in mind if you need to deal with these people about warranty work). I would also like to point out that just having a written agreement does not in anyway keep a signatory from pursuing the matter in court unless their is a specific clause stating such, and even then there are often ways to bring matters forward. I highly suggest that anyone dissatisfied with this company not only contact the Better Business Bureau, but make sure that your local town representatives are aware of the issues as well. If, by chance, you do take A Better Way Wholesale Auto to court (and they most likely will not be willing to attend anyway), the worst case scenario is that you have to pay court fees, which is a small price to pay in order to see those who caused you grief squirm. My biggest gripe isn't so much that A Better Way Auto sold an unsafe vehicle (used car dealerships are what they are), it's that when I dealt with the management it became quite clear that I was dealing with characters who lack any sense of morality. I say this not because they sold an unsafe car, but because in separate conversations the management pleaded their case not with facts or rational argument (the arguments were weak as was the brain power), but by claiming that they wouldn't be able to "feed their children" if they conceded to the repairs. Such arguments are childish, insulting, and pathetic, the type of thing one expects from a street vendor in Kabul, not at an actual professional. More
I read all the reviews, but had my heart set on a truck I read all the reviews, but had my heart set on a truck they had and dealt with them anyway. HUGE MISTAKE. I bought this truck from across the count I read all the reviews, but had my heart set on a truck they had and dealt with them anyway. HUGE MISTAKE. I bought this truck from across the country...sight unseen. I won't be home to see the truck that has been shipped for a few weeks, but let me talk about the (lack of) customer service. TERRIBLE Of all the times I tried and tried to get questions answered, all I got was the feeling that you were a giant pain in their backside. Unreturned phone calls, unanswered emails and flat out rude and blunt when I did get them. It's unbelievable to me that these people stay in business. So after a giant cluster at the time my vehicle was ready to ship, and being ensured that the vehicle has been detailed and completely gone over in their shop, my buddy meets the trucker to pick it up...and....no oil showing on the dipstick! No fuel in the tank! No temp plates to drive it home! NOT detailed! Like I said, I haven't made it home to see my new truck yet, and I'm now full of anxiety to see what I've done. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. In the end, THE ONLY friendly helpful person there is Sharon in financing. How she's part of that place is a mystery to me. One last thing, there were some "fees" added on the my final cost that were NEVER revealed to me before the day I paid the balance. Just one more example of the great communication you'll have with this place. More
found a car online and went to check it out. first thing i noticed is that half of the employees are dressed like they are going to the beach, and the guys are dressed like they are going golfing. not what i noticed is that half of the employees are dressed like they are going to the beach, and the guys are dressed like they are going golfing. not what I expect when I go to a car dealership, used cars or not. Just wear a nice shirt and actually wear pants, and what you say becomes a whole lot more credible. went to look at a car and although the price listed on the website was 3k, the price on the car was 2k. the salesman said the price is actually 3k. even on our way to lot 4 to test drive the car, he was already asking for a deposit...before i even saw the car! then they explained that they do any work that's needed AFTER you make the purchase. that seems pretty fishy. he said even if it needs a new transmission they will do that work too. i find that hard to believe since a new tranny would cost just about as much as they are selling it for! went in and he was still looking for a deposit and asked for a call back later. now i see that they want your deposit and then sell the car to someone else. also looked at financing options. he said i would be approved for some financing even though i've been denied for EVERYTHING with my crappy credit. i don't think anyone would give me a loan but he said they could. I have a tough time buying that. needless to say, i'm not buying from here and won't ever, until they get under new management some day More
