ALM Experience I showed interest in a 2017 Ford Escape that was listed on the ALM Kia South website. No pictures had even been added yet because it was so new to the I showed interest in a 2017 Ford Escape that was listed on the ALM Kia South website. No pictures had even been added yet because it was so new to their inventory. So I scheduled an appointment to come look at the car. I drove over an hour to get to the dealership (also had my one-year-old with me) and arrived to find that the car was in fact not ready for me to view or test drive. It was still being detailed since ALM had done some repairs to the car. It wouldn't be ready for me to see it until FOUR days later! Not to mention the fact the sales person I had scheduled the appointment with was not even at work yet.. and he didn't arrive until about an hour after I got there. I was still interested in the car though, but the sales manager I was dealing with was not able to make a deal for me. They couldn't get me to the monthly payment I needed. So I drove an hour back home, after having been at ALM for at least 2 hours. Later that day, I was contacted by one of the sales people I had been speaking with. They had supposedly talked to the owner and were able to get to that monthly payment I needed. But they would only honor the deal if I made a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit that very day. Without having ever laid eyes on the car. I should have just trusted my gut instinct and passed on the deal. But I didn't, unfortunately. They assured me that the car was in tip-top shape, mechanically, and the paint was being touched up so it would look like new. So ALM Kia South sold me a car with bad brakes. When purchasing the car, nobody mentioned anything about the brakes being in bad shape. So I now have to get the brake pads and rotors replaced, not even two weeks after having bought the car. I called to see if they will fix it and, thankfully, they told me to just bring the car in and they 'should' be able to take care of it. However, I couldn't get any specific questions answered.. Like how long it will take to be repaired? Or if they will actually use genuine Ford parts on my Ford Escape? Or if there will be any cost for me to get it fixed? There is just a lot of uncertainty, and so I've decided to have an official Ford dealership repair the car for me and eat the cost. The car was also sold to me with only the key, no key fob. So now I have to buy myself a key fob. Futhermore, the car makes a very weird and annoying sound when I accelerate over 35 MPH. Going to have to get that checked out as well. From what I saw, they just wanted to make a sale and had no regard for my safety or the safety of my small child who clearly will be riding in the car with me. They were not honest with me and now I am having to pay for it. I'm honestly scared to death to drive the darn thing because I don't even want to know what else is wrong with the car. I'm sure it will cost me an arm and a leg when it's all said and done. I now understand why they were able to offer such a good deal on the car... Because it is probably worth almost nothing. This was my first ALM experience and it will most certainly be my last. More

The people of ALMA ARE ALL AMAZING and helpful people. I think that Mr Friday, our sales person did a great job on dealing with us and stuck close with us even after the transaction was complete. He kept us in the know throughout the transaction and even afterward he provided us with everything we needed to make us happy and get set up in our new car.I The technology specialist provided excellent service and had ready to go and explained the functions that even non -technology older folks could understand. The next day when we came back he assisted my wife to determine why her phone could not interface with the Google travel plug in. She did have a phone that was at fault. When we purchased new phones he had explained the process so well we did not have come back. Everything worked as it should. The only thing that made us impatient was waiting on line for the finance man. You sold a lot of cars that nigjt. However, when we did get in the man was very gracious and apologized for the long wait. I found I was very comfortable with his dealings. At no time was I pressured into add on items. I did get the extended warrantee and gap insurence, but am he did was ask if I wanted it. This is probably the best experience I've ever had that I walked out not wondering if I was taken advantage of. Thank you all for the wonderful folks who we met and provided all the answers we needed to know. More
