I would give this dealership 0 stars if I could. I live over 3 hours away from ALM Newnan, so before making the trip I made sure to verify that they accepted wire transfers. I specifically asked if they would release the vehicle with proof from my bank that the wire had been sent, and I was told yes. They said all they needed was documentation from my bank showing the funds had been transferred. Because of that, I drove over 3 hours, took a day off work, and spent the entire day at the dealership. After I test drove the vehicle and decided to purchase it, my bank completed everything the dealership required and sent the wire transfer. My bank provided two separate documents confirming the wire had been sent. Then the dealership completely changed their story. They refused to release the vehicle, saying they had to wait until the money was fully reflected in their account—even though they had already told me proof from the bank would be enough. I got my bank on the phone, and they repeatedly explained to the dealership that the wire had been sent. The bank’s financial department even sent them a screenshot showing the funds had been received on their end and told them to simply refresh their system because it could take a little time to update. The dealership still refused. Then they tried to get me to finance the vehicle through them “just in case” the wire didn’t go through. My bank representative immediately told them absolutely not and said it appeared they were trying to pressure me into financing unnecessarily. That made the entire situation even more concerning. After going back and forth for quite a while, the manager stormed in, was extremely rude, and told me to get off the phone with my bank. He finally agreed to let me take the vehicle, but only after warning me that I “better not cancel the wire transfer.” My bank representative immediately informed him that wire transfers cannot simply be canceled after they’ve been sent, making his comment completely inappropriate. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. Over a month later, I am still dealing with the consequences of buying from this dealership. Weeks ago, they told me my local tag office already had all of my paperwork so I could get my tag. That was false. My tag office still has not received the paperwork. I’ve called multiple times, left voicemails with ALM’s corporate office, and have yet to receive a single response. The salesperson keeps telling me, “You’re good—they should have your paperwork,” but they don’t. Meanwhile, I’m the one left dealing with the inconvenience. This has been one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. Poor communication, broken promises, rude management, and terrible customer service from start to finish. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. More
