I bought my Acura new in 2003. There was an design flaw on the older model TL's (and older Accords). The A/C line drips water on the metal subframe which causes rusting and an, eventually, unsafe vehicle. An expensive repair, especially, if there is other major repair work. I also needed rusting fuel/break lines replaced and rear break pad/rotor/caliper replaced. I knew the history of my car, so I decided to fix it.
Cars are an expense, that is all there is to it! Since this is the case, I appreciate the high quality and reliable work of the technicians. The work at Acura is warrantied. They won't retire or close up shop. Like other Acura TL owners, I reported this design flaw to the NHTSA. If you sign up, they will notify you of a recall. One must go to a certified dealer for any reimbursement. The A/C drain is now rerouted, so this won't happen again.
