Bill Hamilton - my experience buying a used car John "JD" Houston was my salesman. I was very impressed with him as I liked his personality. I bought a Lexus 2012 ES 350. The ONLY thing that bo John "JD" Houston was my salesman. I was very impressed with him as I liked his personality. I bought a Lexus 2012 ES 350. The ONLY thing that bothered me was that John said the dealership adds a $499 fee to the advertised price on all used and new cars for putting the VIN number in the paint on various parts of the car. This didn't sit well with me as it seemed like a hidden fee the dealership is getting from people and this cost should have been listed in the original selling price. Perhaps I should have walked away as it seemed underhanded to me as I wasn't given the option of saying no. But because I thought the vehicle was priced a bit below market value and I liked John, I still decided to buy the vehicle as I was tired looking for a good used vehicle. More
