I went just to look back in December, well.. we all know that looking turns in to buying very quickly. They did not have the exact vehicle that I wanted, and there was not one available in the area so we ordered. The ordering process was very easy. The car came in 3 weeks early! Called from St Louis to voice interest in a used VW they had on the lot. Car looked pretty good in pictures, and price was very close to ideal. Started negotiations via e-mail to be confirmed/finalized up had on the lot. Car looked pretty good in pictures, and price was very close to ideal. Started negotiations via e-mail to be confirmed/finalized upon my arrival. Unfortunately, the underbid my trade-in value by $1.5k, and only amended this by raising my offer on their car. During negotiations, "C.E." actually dismissed me with "have a great weekend" without even attempting to address or rectify my objections, even though we were only $500 apart at that time. I buy and sell cars for friends and family regularly. I've never seen a dealership balk at using KBB values as a starting point for negotiations, until today. They were freindly enough, but I've never experienced a dealership so disinterested in selling a car. More
