Our tire was repaired while we ate dinner next door at Favored Flavor. 45 minutes later we came back and our Forester was ready. Shawn was able to remove the screw that was in the RR tire and plug it at no charge. Thanks Shawn.

"Service Department, Subaru Of America, OUTSTANDING!"

Mechanical problems with a 2011 Subaru Legacy Limited, out of factory warranty, Shifting transmission shutter problem. Had extended warranty from another dealership. did not resolve issue. During trip to Painesville area, started getting much worse then before. Took car to where I serviced my previous Subaru outback. Diagnosis, torque converter replaced with extended warranty. Still problem. Check National Tech line, suggested new transmission. I contacted SOA, they agreed to replace it for me. Replaced, still problem. Next tried ECM Module. None in US, had to ship from Japan. Kept me informed of progress whole time, had new 2017 loaners whole time too! New module would not communicate with transmission. New revised transmission coming, would expedite it. Installed transmission, communicated fine. They tested few days. I dove car few weeks, completed 1500 mile trip to Maine and back without a problem. Company and dealership went over and way beyond normal! My thanks to both!

"Honest witness to hard work "

I was not there to be buying a car that day, but during my visit I watched Marley spend time helping a couple get into a new car. She was very polite and did all she could to make sure they could get into the car they had wanted that day. The new owners seemed very happy when they had left in the car. I was very impressed with the customer service and communication skills and hard work ethic she had demonstrated throughout the whole duration of the selling process for that lucky couple. Another employee Rachel was also very kind and social to me during my wait as well. Overall I was quite impressed with my entire visit.

"uninformed or incomplete service"

This was my first experience with the Adventure service dept. When I checked in I asked if there were any service specials. Young person said he didn't know... asked if I got any by email or in the mail. So I asked again at the service desk. Said they didn't know but "if there are any they are on the web site". Checked the adventure web site and it indicated a "service managers special" for oil change and tire rotation. At check-out saw that that was the same price I paid on the invoice??? Did I get a "special" or is that another way of saying our regular price is "special"? Common guys, you know but for some reason didn't want to say... or you didn't know and I would wonder why. You certainly would present a better impression by knowing and offering any "special". Asked them if they washed the cars. Said they would. They complied but left the car dripping wet and I dried it myself. They need to visit the Classic dealers in Mentor to see how they deal with the service experience (really friendly and outgoing) and the return of the vehicle (washed, dried, interior vacuumed and wiped down). And they let you know of any specials upfront.

I've owned my Subaru for 6 1/2 years and have always had Jason Sweeney, the service manager, do all the scheduled maintenance and any other repairs on my car. The guys in the service department are great and always take care of me and make me feel like a VIP customer. Both Jason and Rick always keep my car running great and with over 144,000 miles, the car still runs like new.

"Rear view mirror defect"

I will never buy another vehicle from this dealer again. The rear view mirror on my 2013 Forester fell apart and was dangling as I was about to hit the road for a business trip. This is a known defect: the screws in the mount just come loose. Not only did I have to pay $45 to get a replacement mount put in, I lost 3 hours of time, 1 hour waiting for them to open, and 2 hours sitting waiting for it to be fixed. I previously drove Honda's and Toyota's. In 40 years of driving I've NEVER had a rear view mirror come off! And google it, some people end up replacing these mirrors 3 - 4 times! This is a lousy way to treat customers.

"GREAT SERVICE EXPERIENCE!!"

I bought a Forrester from this dealership earlier this year. I took my car for service last week and had a FIVE***** experience. My car was fixed and ready when promised. After reading some of the reviews on here, I was a bit apprehensive about going in there and thought about going elsewhere. I'm glad I didn't. Overall a great experience. Friendly people in the Service area and nice waiting area. The service manager, Mr. Freiberg, even brought me a water so that I could take my medication on time. He made this service department a place I will return to for all my car needs.

"Rude Service Representative."

I purchased my Outback in 2012 when Adventure was "Halpert" Subaru - Owned and run by Mr. Halpert. I purchased a fully loaded outback with all the bells and whistles, and did not get a particularly good deal on it. However I was treated so well, my husband and I did not mind paying for the good, service and the great car we received. Halpert is not longer owner of this dealership it is now called "Adventure" Subaru. In November 2014 I called "ADVENTURE" Subaru to have my car serviced. The service technician was rude, and difficult, second guessing everything I told him had been happening to my car. I cancelled my appointment, and went with another dealer.
