I had been communicating with Woody for a week or so before I came into the dealership. He was always courteous, friendly and helpful in our correspondence. My wife and I had done our homework and knew before I came into the dealership. He was always courteous, friendly and helpful in our correspondence. My wife and I had done our homework and knew what we wanted before going to the dealership. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable when we got there. Staff were also very tolerant of our 19 month old son who was wanting to "touch" everything. It was a very family friendly atmosphere. I can't really say that I have ever had a "great" car buying experience anywhere, but the one at Akins was the best so far. Woody had a few other customers he was dealing with during our appointment but he spent as much time as needed with us. The whole experience took a little longer than we had hoped even though we already had some of our financing lined up before the visit. It took about three hours from start to finish to leave with the new truck. I priced this truck at several other dealers throughout the state and Akin's had the best price by far. I would recommend Akins to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. More

I've always considered myself a good judge of character which makes dealing with your typical car salesman not fun at all. From the very first phone call to when the deal was done and the papers were being signed I felt important. I could tell Rick was more interested in what I expected than making the sale. As a business owner I understand they are there to make money but it's nice when two people can meet in the middle and everybody walk away happy. Jim, the gentlemen who helped me with my up fitting was just as nice and caring. To top it off, even the finance guy Mike was pro customer and not pro $. Hats off to the management and ownership at Akin for hiring & retaining these guys. It's nice to know that Rick and the team at Akin are still hanging on to what is right as opposed to so many that are not. My experience with Akins Ford was outstanding! I drove 5 1/2 hours to make a deal on my Jeep Wrangler that no other dealer was advertising!
